I know colt45 likes Dick Warlocks performance as Michael Myers in Part 2. However I and most people feel he really hurt the movie by his stiff robotic unnatural walk and over all movements.
I found a way too feel better about it almost a year ago but just dont remember if I mentioned it.So here it is...
Remember how Michael was shot 6 times and feel 30 feet to the ground? Well just make believe that the bullets and fall cause Michael to experience slight paralyzation. And his nerves were damaged and he lacks full body movements. Then that will explain everything you see in Part 2.

You could even go one step further and say he hit his face when he hit the ground so it caused swelling. So that's why the mask doesn't fit as well.

;D It would also explain why his mask wasn't as clean and nice looking.

Do you have an explanation for the Drac in the mirror scene in A & C..i would love to hear it..
I've been trying to come up with one but i can't.

I've got an explanation for A&C XN. Dracula has mental powers right. Well during the intervening years between Dracula and A&C he taught himself to project his image into the minds of people around him when approaching a mirror. That way he doesn't have a mirror give away that he's a Vampire like one did in the original movie.

Hey Kyle, you know that makes sense man. Thanks a lot. I guess i was so pissed off from the mistake i was unable to come up with an explanation.
What do you think Demon? Hell, i think kyle just solved the great big Drac in the mirror mystery.
That also explains his stare in that scene too.He is using all of his powers at the same time.
Yeah after that mirror confrontation he had with van Helsing in Dracula he taught himself how to not reveal himself in mirrors.
Awesome.

That's a good explanation and I feel more warm and fuzzy after it. However, can someone make me feel better about the whole sister angle? The only thing I take solace in is that Carpenter was half in the bag while typing it up.

I have no idea about the sister thing man.I'll try and think of something though.

I think your half in the bag thing can be the only explanation. Because even if you could explain away the Sister thing in Part 2 you couldn't do the same for the rest of the movies. They went further and further with the Family thing with each successive film. By the 6th one they had included cousins, nieces etc. It's just too convoluted to fix.

There's 9 including the remake. You should just watch Part 1,2 and 7 What do you think Demon? Hell, i think kyle just solved the great big Drac in the mirror mystery. Amazing Kyle! You're right XN its perfect! I will think that way too!
As for the "she's his sister" angle we can just say that the hospital manufactured the evidence. They heard Laurie was the only survivor. They did a background check and found out she was adopted. They decided that there's no true proof of her childhood. Parents aren't allowed too know who has there kids a lot of times for certain reasons. So they made believe the two of them were separated during the adoption and him being locked up.
Therefore they said that Laurie was his sister just for Public Relations. If people thought he was just after her because she's his sister, then everyone wouldn't be in a panic because they'd feel it has nothing to do with them and it's a domestic thing. Kind of the Smithsgrove covering there ass. #think#

Nice one.

So do I, I think the sister angle has to be the most damaging in any horror movie.

Yeah, at the very least, it was introduced way too early. The series kind of lost momentum too quickly because of it. If it wasn't introduced until IV or V, I would be more open to the idea. "More of the Night He Came Home" was all the second needed to be...no explanation was needed.

Exactly. And if there must be an explanation why he keeps coming after her that's easy. She got away in the first movie. So in the second he's just trying to finish what he started. It might even have been exciting for him to come across a victim that was so hard to kill.

yea! BTW I changed this topic too "How to feel better about Halloween 2 flaws" because we went off topic yet it still fits since it's the same movie. AND a flaw...
Like Kyle and jlaw said, Halloween 2 could have ignored the whole sister thing and it woulda been fine! Hell they didn't even mention it till 1:15 into the movie I believe!
After saying it... it had no more relevence...
You can easily edited that part out of Halloween 2 and it woulda been just as good if not 10 times better now that that whole idea is gone.
I hate when people who dont know much about Halloween's say to me "yea he's trying to kill his sister JLC right?" and I'm like umm well sorta... she's really not... they made her that way.
It all comes from most people seeing H2O when new age horror was popular after the Scream movie.

I honestly don't have a problem with Warlock as Myers and the sister angle isn't in the same league as Thorn or Jason's worm for me. Halloween 2 doesn't compare to the original at all, but it has a great re-watch quality to it. #clap#

That is a great point you brought up. I get the same thing when I'm talking to someone about the brilliance of the original. I mention something like how in the original, there is mystery to it and you have no idea why he goes after Laurie....and they're like, huh, he goes after his family right... I'm like, well yeah, once they started making sequels. It's like a guy I work with. He's a good shit because he listens to my ranting and raving, and he seems like he is interested in knowing more about horror, but he tends to be clueless like the people you mentioned. But he's at least making an effort to understand my line of thinking, so I can't really fault him.
