Ledger was a great actor. And he played a great part. But that character had about as much in common with the Joker as I have in common with Tom Cruise. ;D I'm not dissing anyone who liked his portrayal and thinks it was the best Joker ever. If you thought that was the Joker then great! But I've seen and read enough of the Joker to know that wasn't him.

Thanks DS I appreciate you saying that. I hope you do not take offense too me not liking Two-Face. It has nothing to do with you or anyone else who likes him. One man's sleeping pill is another man's caffeine
You make some good points, I just don't feel the same way I guess. He was the Joker in todays realistic times I suppose. Maybe not like anything you've ever seen before. That's a good thing to me though because I had already seen the best Jokers. If I wanna see another Joker it better be something new and his was.

Heck no it doesn't bother me you didn't care for Two-Face. We don't have to agree on everything to get along. LOL
I guess I can see that. I don't mind new things. But The Joker is pretty special to me and I'd like to have seen a hint of him in the character. Especially since so many people are saying how this is the best one ever. Which I think is ridiculous. If a person says this is the best that is comparing it to past portrayals. The character in DK can't be compared to other portrayals of The Joker. Because those other portrayals were the Joker. This was something else entirely. I liked the character. He was pretty well written. But still not the Joker IMO.

I can undertand your problems with Two Face's character Demon, in my eyes it was the same way, we got too much Harvey Dent and not enough Two Face
what everyone knows Harvey's character is Two Face, idk why he would get less than 45 min of screen time
I also felt some of the same way to Joker, I think Heath played him well but not great enough for an Oscar nod, I think most of what he did was script material and not him but it was still a good performance

There were just so many flaws with this movie. I don't think it even comes close to a 5 rating. I think once people watch this on DVD more, much like FvsJ their opinion of this movie will go down. Luckily Drayton installed a retract vote in this polls options ;D

I agree sometimes you can't catch everything in a single viewing...There's plenty of films that after several viewings may change a certain perspective.

I will say this though. I think the Joker scenes are enough to make this movie rewatchable about 5-8 times in a lifetime.

Who knows maybe with repeat viewings I'll enjoy the Joker more and you'll enjoy Two-Face more? But I don't think either of us could watch it enough times to make up for how much Maggie sucked. LOL

Ugh, honestly I will seriously look away from the screen during her scenes. Her face is just too much for me. She looks like an uglier MJ from Spiderman.

OMG I was so relieved! I was like please tell me she was really killed! Its weird because we're supposed to care because that's Bruce's childhood friend who he loves so much.
Its just another place this movie falls flat. There was no closeness between the two in this movie to make you care about her. Bruce acted like an asshole this movie and seeing a different girl play the part just took you out of the emotion wee supposed to feel for her.
Its amazing what familiar visuals can to to your emotions.

I was glad to see Bruce actually start acting like himself more after she was finally out of the movie.

They should've said she died in-between the films to avoid casting that ugly sonuva....erm...youknow. If Katie Holmes had returned, it would be even more amazing than it already is. Still, Two-Face, I'm dissappointed that he only got half an hour of screen time while Dent was in he entire film. I can tell Nolan wasn't a big fan of that villain.
But everything else was fabulous!!!
