Whats your thoughts on remaking Creature from the Black Lagoon? I personally think it's great that this movie isn't forgotten and it's being brought back to the public. Hopefully they'll do it justice! Answer and explain!

The Creature was the last great Monster to come from the classic Universal monster movies. If done properly it could be amazing to see an updated take on him.

I would love to see this one remade. The creature looked great in the original, I can't imagine what they could do with the creature nowadays with all the special effect technology. That alone would get me to see it.

#24# Is it going to be called Gillman X?
As long as they don't use CGI for the Creature I'm willing to give the movie a chance. I'd like to see if they could improve on the costume. It'd be hard to do. But I'd love to see them try.

I don't want to see a remake of Creature for the exact reason you mentioned Kyle...CGI. I know they would use CGI effects for the creature, and that would ruin it for me.

I think how they do it will depend on how the Wolfman remake does. If the studio sees that more practical makeup is accepted still they'd be more willing to try it that way.

Let's hope the Wolfman remake does well then.

I think the CGI on Gillman was alright in "Monster Squad".

The creature in Monster squad looks like a suit.

In that scene they are using animatronics for the mouth. Not CGI.

Wow, really? It really looks like CGI.
Then again I finally got to see the movie for the first time not too long ago. ;D

Let's hope the Wolfman remake does well then. I'm losing faith in that possibility every time they move the release date. ;D

Just so long as it's done well, CFTBL was one of the first horrors I ever watched
