That was an excellent description of it Armin.I also sort of wondered about the man, but I never really thought about him once being in Oskar's place. I'm really glad you liked it Kyle. There is an English version of the book: www.amazon.com/Let-Right-John-Ajvide-Lindqvist/dp/0312355297/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1229375139&sr=8-1Apparently the remake is going to be based directly on the book. I'm not sure what to think of it, as with most remakes. I know it won't ever happen, and I'm not sure about the actors who played Eli and Oskar, but the majority of Swedes speak fluent English. Theoretically, you could do an English, version with same cast. Armin, could I use that GIF of Eli bleeding in the appartment?

That's great that there's an english version, if the movie's this good I'll definetly get the book, I always find that the books they base movies on tend to be better since the story is more in depth.

I hope the book goes more into the relationship between Eli and the man providing blood for her. That's the part of the movie that left me with the most curiosity.

Same here. If Eli's Renfield was her lover in the past, that means oskar could most likely face the same fate as he did,(Grow old and die). If i was Oskar,i would just let Eli turn me into Nosferatu so we could be the same age forever.
But i doubt Oskar wants to go down that road.

I'd ask to be turned once I reached adulthood.

Oh absolutely,i wouldn't want to be a child forever.I was just looking at things from Eli and oskar's point of view.
If oskar waited until he was an adult to turn, then he would be labeled as a pedophile ;D considering Eli is only 12 years old.

I don't think He and Eli were lovers. Unless it was before she became a Vampire. They showed a quick shot of Oskar seeing her genitals and they didn't look normal.

I was kind of suprised they were able to put that in aswell. I didn't notice that it looked unusual though

You know wolf, the rules are a little different when it comes to shots like that in Sweden i guess.I would post a screen shot of that particular scene, but i'm afraid that would be inappropriate due to Eli being only 12.But i'm positive that shot won't be included in the U.S. dvd release.
Swedish films tend to be more liberal anyway. My favorite Swedish actress is Christina Lindberg.I've seen her in some pretty hardcore stuff, like the movie Thriller:They Call Her One Eye.

I really enjoyed this movie. I can totally relate to being bullied so I was glad to see the boy get some revenge. I didn't really pay much attention to the private parts scene. I was reading what people were saying about the movie at imdb and they said I think in the book that Eli was really a boy. He was castrated at the age of 12 before they turned him vampire.
