Well I have never seen any of these yet, however Kyle and Xч really seem to love them! I ordered Part 1 and 2 from Amazon. Unfortunately I received Part 2 but not Part 1 yet... so now I have to wait to watch it...
What do you guys think of these?

Part 1 is definitely the best IMO. It doesn't have as much comedy as part 2 and 3 does.
But the sequels are still enjoyable to watch. Its a classic monster series IMO.
Also in part 1 you can't help but have sympathy for the monster, being born deformed like that would be horrible to live with. The monster still has human needs and wants to be with a girl.
I think his sexual frustration is what ultimately leads the monster to be violent. I absolutely love this franchise, hope you enjoy the films Demon. I'm interested in hearing your opinion.

It is just pure 80's horror fun. You'll love the first one due to the NY setting.

Original is the best as usual The second had it's moments and different monsters and good fx but not the same feeling to it. I have seen the third one but do not remember anything about it, so it must not have impressd me too much.

If i had a burner,i'll send it to ya. But unfortunately i don't have a dvd burner on my comp. Maybe chainsaw can burn you a copy.
Basket case 3 has a little bit more cheese and comedy than part 2. With Belail (the monster) having a baby and all...lol Plus all the other freaks from part 2 is in it.
Don't worry too much if you have to wait till next year to see it. Its a good movie, but its no Basket Case 1.
You'll really enjoy the first one.
Heres a part 3 trailer.
Heres my favorite basket case trailer from the first movie.
Whats in the basket? Part 1 is the best!

Aww XN no spoiler warning!
it's ok
Well anyway I drove 1 hour out of my way today and picked up Basket Case 1! Me and Elizabeth are gonna watch it tonight! Hopefully Part 2 tomorrow night! I can't wait! I did peep the DVD and was a tad disappointed it wasn't in wide screen. Seeing as I have a 50" wide screen plasma HDTV #tounge# Does anyone think I have the wrong version? I got the 20th Anniversary Edition. It's funny where it's from "Something Weird Video"? ;D
I can't wait though! For some reason I'm really excited about it. I haven't found a classic I haven't seen that I was told Id love for a while! A long while! I hope this is a new Fav franchise of mine! Thanks Kyle and XN for getting me into it!

I've never seen it in widescreen. So it didn't bother me. I don't think it was ever released in widescreen.
No problem. I hope you really enjoy them.

In my blue-ray player,it looks better than when i play the movie in my horror room on the regular dvd player..The picture quality is pretty good regardless but my Blue-ray player makes the dvd look more vivid.
Looks great both ways. I personally prefer the old grainy look when i'm watching 80's flicks though.
I love the grind house experience.
Movies like "Don't look in the basement" is a perfect example.
The movie "Axe" too.

I just got done watching it and all I can say is wow! That was crazy! I thought they were happy together and everything would be cool! Everytime this guy would meet a chick his brother would ruin it! I felt bad for him when he flipped out! The way Belail moved when they did the animation was pretty amature. I guess it was in it's first stages. Oh well it was still cool. He looked great in some scenes!
I am still in a bit of a shock now so I will wait to rate it ;D

I think shocking is a pretty good way to describe the film. I'd never seen anything quite like it before. His walking is a little funky but not too surprising considering how small the budget probably was.

Since no one is able to hook me up with Part 3 it will be about a year till I see it (release date) so I voted for Part 1, I will retract my vote if I think Part 3 is best.
Part 1 had an amazing New York 80's sleaze feel too it. XN is right, watching it in full frame and not perfectly clear quality is the best way too go with this movie. The score/music is really bad, yet for some odd reason REALLY intense and kinda perfect for this movie! It's the furthest thing from Carpenter, yet almost as fitting as his was for Halloween.
It's mostly bad acting but it gave it a more real feel to it sometimes. I give this movie a 4 out of 5! I am amazed by it! It was shocking and even the unbelievable parts couldn't overcome the scary parts.
Basket Case Part 2 had a completely different feel. More comparable to the Gholies and Troll feel. It reminded me alot of the Garbage Pail Kids movie. At parts it was losing me but then it would hook me back in again. I was so glad to see that the kid who played Duan came back for Part 2! Although he looked 9 years older even though it took place the very same night lol no one else coulda played him.
3.5 out of 5
Thanks for getting me into it guys! If anyone wants a Belial shirt let me know! Also send me $20 ;D

Glad you liked them. I can get you a part 3 in the future, maybe a month or 2, I can't promisr it will be the best transfer, but I can get you one.
I'll let ya know.
I agree with XN about the grainy look for 80s horror. That is why I still have a VHS player and tapes in my house, it adds to the experience.

I own the first one from Video Treasures. I found it in a thrift store. I bought the second one online for 99 cents and its a starmaker release. And the starmaker music and logo always makes me horn doggy ;D The first one is the best. It's highly gritty that only a VHS lover can appreciate. And its surprisingly realistic gore that I wouldnt' expect! The second one takes a drastic tone in the line of comedy. Highly amusing don't get me wrong but not as good as the original. Sheer entertainment. And I have yet to see and/or find the third one anywhere.
