A decades old folk tale surrounding a deranged murderer killing those who celebrate Valentine's Day, turns out to be true to legend when a group defies the killer's order and people start turning up dead. At last - MY BLOODY VALENTINE TOTALLY UNCUT, REMASTERED AND RESTORED, IN WIDESCREEN! What more could you ask for?

Got it yesterday and it's great. The restored scenes look very good, the quality isn't different like it was in SNDN and Army of Darkness re-issues. This was the best restored version yet and it is about time. Great gore scenes made this movie even better. Highly recommended.

Lionsgate did what Paramount should have done several times before. I'm really impressed. If you own the original release,i say sell it and buy the new one. Its worth it.

I can't wait to get my hands on this one uncut, the original version is a classic as it is and I can only imagine what the uncut scenes are going to be like.

I haven't seen it in years. I didn't think it was that great. But that could be due to being cut. I'm willing to give it another shot. It's pretty easy to screw up a good movie if it's cut to pieces. Especially if the cutting is done poorly.

Paramount should be punished for crimes against horror fans. After seeing the uncut version of MBV,they practically cut out all the good gore scenes in the first release.
The uncut version of MBV is way better than the remake.

I got a copy of this in Walmart a few days ago. I don't own the movie in general but this version. I think I'll stick with this with all the restored scenes in it. Look pretty good if you ask me. I enjoyed it.
This was my Valentines Day present. Yes I bought my own self something , not a word the any of you! : P
My girlfriend since she left all my stuff at her house bought me a copy of the 3D remake last night. I will watch it otnight since we watched that one last night. A My Bloody Valentine weekend for Valentines Day.
Before I watch, what are yalls thoughts on the remake? Will I be disappointed?

The remake is pretty good Rebel, I think you'll enjoy it. Of course, it doesn't come close to the original, but the original is one of my favorite slashers.

I didn't hate it. But I didn't gush love over it either. It's average. Better than the Fog remake I almost gauged my eyes out watching. I watched the 2D version of it. I may try the 3D later when I'm alone. Too many glasses wearing people in this house and it makes their eyes hurt it seems.
I think the original has the best psychosis. They changed the story to where a much older guy in this case Jensen from Supernatural gets scarred by the original killer and goes to a mental hospital then reincarnates the killer pretty much. That is NOT scary. I found the original scary as a little boy watches his dad be killed and have his heart taken out then much later is still traumatized by it to be much more scary than that. Would yall agree with me on that?
I think the remake had the longest nude scene in creation! I have never seen a horror movie had a naked woman be running around THAT long and I thought that large guy was going to turn around at any moment and I was going to see something else!
The kills were pretty brutal. I'm trying not to grade it too harshly since this movie is not sequel bound like some from the 80s time period were.
I'll give it 2.5/5 stars. I didn't hate it but I am not compelled to watch it constantly either. Glad there is no sequel to this. Stick with the original folks.

In my top 5 slashers for sure, The atmosphere is great, the Mine setting is creepy as hell and to top it off the killer is unforgettable . Overall great 80s slasher

Saw the uncut version a few months ago. Very good movie. If that had been the way it was originally released it probably would have started a franchise.

MBV is one of the main reasons I love 80's horror so much. Just about as perfect as a horror movie can be, in my opinion.
