All information provided from any Halloween with Michael and Laurie Strode is gospel. The rest (although enjoyable) are convoluted. So Jamie Lloyd is not included in this conversation.
Okay Michael Myers killed his sister Judith Myers at 17. He was locked up for 15yrs and came back to kill Laurie Myers (then Strode) at 17yrs old. He was caught in the blast Loomis ignited and survived. His whereabouts where unknown for 20yrs and returns to kill John Tate(17) and Laurie Strode(37).
What do you believe the reason is for being drawn to kill his family at age 17? What is the connection between 17yrs old and the night of Halloween?

I've always assumed he thinks he has to kill them while they are still "innocent". If they are under 18 they are still juveniles and are innocent in his deluded mind. He saw his older Sister losing her innocence on Halloween night and killed her. He came after Laurie when she was 17 to kill her before she lost her innocence and failed. He tried again with Laurie's son and failed again. So in the end I think he does it when he does due to his screwed up morality and it being the anniversary of the only time he was successful at punishing a relative for their loss of innocence.

Thanks. You know me. I like coming up with reasons for things either not clear or completely unexplained in movies I love. Explaining motivations etc. makes the films I do it with more satifying to me. Camper killed for the compliment.

That was just as amazing as your explanation of why Sandra was able to see Dracula's reflection in the mirror in Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein! You rock dude!

Thanks so much. I'm happy someone else likes the idea's/explainations I come up with. They help me enjoy the movies more. So if they do the same for others that is pretty cool.

Michael can survive anything as long as there is money to be made, even beheading. As for the question, Kyle summed it up nicely.

That is certianly a non-canon theory, as there is no official evidence to make it possible.

Actually I already discovered years ago that Michael was shot directly above the eye's under the eyebrows. His eye balls can clearly be seen intact in the screen cap. Blood was gushing over his eye's that's why he was taking blind swipes at Laurie. It's also clearly evident that the trails of blood start above the eye ball location. The arrows indicate where the bullets entered his skull. I highly doubt Carpenter or any writer for any movie added an alternate Michael. The series is done now... and I think it would have been mentioned already.

He would be blind because of the gushing blood covering his vision. And I was kidding about The Silver Shamrock android thing.

The bullets were small as all bullets from those guns. They entered the eye holes. But because of Laurie's angle they hit directly under his actual real eyebrows. Whether or not the bullets killed him, they still stunned him and caused pain. He was never shot in the face before (if you dont believe Loomis shot him in the head after he put his mask back on, even though he jerks his head back after being shot). The gushing blood would be incredible. Completely blinding anyone whether or not they would die.
That's why he was able to see in the sequels. Also you cant add make-up effects into this discussion. Non of it's real... but we have to put it in real terms movie wise. In this case Michael doesnt have any make-up on... it's all real blood and bullets.

I have no idea where these bullets go or how deep they enter him. Being shot 6 times then 2 more... I mean it woulda killed anyone. I guess when you can't die these things just get lodged into you and dont penetrate on any major level.
Don't really know man.
