No, not the silly sequels. I mean the original, this was probably, at the time, a scary thought due to all the Cold War hype and such dealing with the Atomic Bomb.
So, what does everyone think? They recently released the original Godzilla on DVD, it contains the English version and the Japanese version, both on the same disc. And, it's only $15, so that isn't bad.

I love Godzilla. I still haven't seen the original. What I mean is the original before they added Raymond Burr to it. I've seen the 1954 Godzilla where Burr stars as a reporter named Steve Martin. I loved that one. I've heard the version that doesn't include him known as Gojira is a lot darker. I've always liked the character Godzilla but I enjoy the newer ones more. The ones from the 90's on. Probably because of the better looking effects.

I would suggest buying, renting, or downloading the original. The boxset being only fifteen bucks isn't bad, and it is a lot darker and very unique. I liked it.

As a fan of Godzilla, I know his series of films are long, but I love the original film, but my favorite film is: Godzilla vs Biollante.

Remember when they used to show Godzilla and some of the other old monster movies on Super Scary Saturday on TBS on Saturday mornings? That was awesome.

You're talking about the show hosted by Grandpa Munster right? I loved that show. Never missed it.

Yet again one of the great shows they just don't do anymore.

That's why I rarely ever watch TV. If I don't have anything to do, I'll usually just pop in a horror DVD. TV pretty much sucks, no good shows anymore.

Sad but true. I'm going to sound like an old fart. But I mostly watch the Discovery/TLC type channels now. The crap they have on everything else just bores me to tears and really doesn't entertain me.

Hmm really. Sometime you should watch FX or AMC. They have good ones like Frank meets Wolfman

Well I said I mostly watch those channels. I actually do watch FX for a show called Nip/Tuck. And I don't like watching movies on network television. I don't like edited movies unless like with Joe Bob Briggs there is a pretty special host involved. I've seen the hosts for the movies on FX. They aren't fun or funny. They are trying to be MTV VJs. LOL And I loved watching movie on AMC when they didn't have commercials. But that's been years ago. I tried watching one of the Friday the 13ths on there not that long ago. Boy did they butcher it with edits. It made what the MPAA did to The New Blood look like nothing. LOL

Exactly. HBO shows are the best. Hands down my favorite shows on t.v. Anyway we are getting WAY off topic. Back to The big G.
