Good news. I've always been a fan of the Hammer monster movies.

I haven't seen this yet, so the uncensored version looks like a good place to start!

I would love to cut my teeth on them with a nice box set.

Now that Hammer Studios is starting up again I have a feeling a good Box set for each series is inevitable.

Here's to hoping your right. I'll definitely be a customer if they decide to do that.

Well it only makes sense they'd do it. It would be a great way for the people who just bought the rights to start making money in order to produce new movies.

Hmm, sounds interesting. But remember, this is 1958 we're talking. Anyone expecting 'Hostel' like gore may be sorely disappointed. The current dvd of Horror of Dracula is totally devoid of any special features. I hope they get a Christopher Lee commentary for the eventual dvd re-release!

Honestly I think the gore in Hostel is over rated. LOL

I was never a big fan of Hammer. I'm a Universal guy, but Horror of Dracula is an instant classic. That is one of the few Hammer films I really like. I would love to see it uncut.

I really enjoyed Hammers version of Dracula. I own the regular dvd release and i never even thought it could be any bloodier.
If they decide to re-release this dvd it might be called the unrated version. I'll surly sink my teeth into it.

Ya know I really didnt like Horror of Dracula as much as I thought I would. I own it but I never had the desire to rewatch it and I may never have it. Id rather watch Lugosi I guess. Im a Universal guy too.

I prefer the Universal Dracula too. There are some good films in the Hammer series though.

I have always loved the Hammer films. For their day they were very gutsy. I have several of them on video or dvd, including the theatrical version of this one. I love it.

I loved Horror of Dracula and Prince of Darkness. The rest are not that great. Hammer was basically a wanabe Universal. They were okay, but nowhere near as good.
