Heath Ledger won a posthumous award from the Australian Film institute.
The movie has also been named in the top 10 films of the year by the National Board Of Review.
The Golden Globes will be an interesting precursor to the Oscars in terms of what awards it gets nominated for or wins.

That is an interesting site, but I don't think it's in connection to the series. Still, some of the image work is pretty nice.

Nolan isn't deciding anything at the moment, largely because of the curse of the third film.
How could he top this crowning success?
Also, Robin is not being considered as a new character, as that went badly the first time.

They would clash.
Remember X-Men 3?
Spider-Man 3?
They were financially successful (Especially Spidey 3), but the reaction to them was rather mixed.
For a third film to actually work, everything would have to be carefully planned, but even then, it wouldn't stand a good chance of being nearly as successful as TDK has been.

A third film is possible, but it probably wouldn't do as well. I don't think someone passing away could be used again, that was a one time thing.

It also had great word of mouth and critical acclaim going for it.

Which was due to it being Ledger's final role. The movie sucked.

The Blu Ray has great quality, best Blu Ray has to offer. It is almost like seeing it in IMAX, built that was still the ultimate experience.

I wish I could get them for a Christmas gift, but no one in my family would spend more then 20$ bucks on me. The only one that has been doing that, has been my grandma and she has to do that secretly cause the rest of my family would bitch!
