There is a problem with the Hellraiser mention.
They went from a set date to just "2009," so it is going nowhere fast.
I might just check out TDK again if I have the chance.

What inspired him to make the Joker all rugged and nasty instead of the normal comic book version? Also, The Dark Knight will re-open in theaters in January for the oscars. So you can see TDK in IMAX one more time

And I got a movie ticket as a gift from work!
However, with a pregnant wife, I have to think of her more then seeing a movie again.

I really think that this movie shouldn't be in IMAX or whatever, cause it gets too much prays as it is. It's a GREAT movie but it's not the best. If I had to choose witch Batman movie should go into IMAX, it would have to be Tim Burton's, cause that movie doesn't really get that much attention anymore like it did back then.
I just got The Dark Knight for an early Christmas present today and I decided to watch it for the second time. It was the regular DVD release too. It was just as good and I was more impressed with it cause the first time I saw it was on the Internet and it was in terrible quality. So I personally don't want to watch it in IMAX, cause it's just as good on a regular DVD and plus, I don't have a IMAX in my town! ;D

The movie was shot specifically with IMAX cameras for certain scenes.
It set records in its initial run for IMAX screening revenue.
If you watch the Blu-Ray, it switches aspect ratios when those scenes kick in.
Burton's Batman was shot with standard film.

It won five People's Choice awards, has got five Producer's Guild nominations and Director's Guild award for Nolan.
Whether or not you liked the movie, it is a superhero film, a genre that usually never gets this sort of attention.

Forget about it. Heres the real Joka.
At least this joka has personality.

ya know my only gripe with the joker was his skin and hair. in the comics his skin is chalk white and his hair is dark green. here he has normal skin and blondish greenish hair. that kinda bothered me. i love the black racoon eyes and the smile which tsrangely seems to be a reecurring thing with movie jokers. Romero had a smile which ended at the cheeks same with nicholson and ledger.hmmmm

I am hoping that this is a sign that the more elitist film organizations won't rule out a film based on the genre.

Wow 8 Oscar nominations, I was expecting only 5, Sound Editing, Makeup, Sound Mizing, Director, and Supporting Actor.

I still believe this film got an extra boost from Ledger's death. I mean the film is pretty good, a lot better than the Hulk, and many people cite the Joker as the reason it is so good.
I'll buy that, the Joker is the reason the film was enjoyable. But Ledger didn't really stand out that much to me, though he did look pretty good in the role. I think everyone is seeing him as the best because he died, and the media made it seem as if thinking anything bad about his last role was unacceptable.
I watched this film for a third time, and I like it a little less. It wasn't as dramatic a drop as the second time from the first, but it did go down. I just don't see Ledger's Joker as what everyone claims it to be, it's entertaining but it isn't this supernatural entity the media world has made it out to be.

this movie is basically jsut a cop film sprayed with batamn juice on it. i mean did nolan ever read nay of the comcis if so then he'd know that joker never works with nay other villain. also if he was going for a realism thing to this film he faile din svereal areas. for example. when batman and rachel fall out of the wayne penthouse and land on a car. BOTH of them would be sevrely injured. also when two-face shoots maronis driver the car flips. how does two-face survive by simply wearing his seatbelt? also Harvey wouldve died within minute sof being burned from bacteria infecting his damaged skin. also how could someone gett hat badly burned and still usrvive with no permant damage ( aisde from the burn wounds)
