Filmed in 1922 Nosferatu was knowed to be one of the creepest vampire films of all time and it's still is. As you guessed, this is a silent movie and if you love old classic silant films and you didn't see this movie, I suggest go and look this one up.
Directed by F.W. Murnau, he didn't want to pay for the copyright from Bram Stoker's widow so he renamed "Count Dracula" to "Count Orlok". Even though his name is "Orlok", in the film he referred as "Count Dracula" anyway. Not only dose Orlok(Max Schreck) suck the blood of innocent people he sends an outbrake of the plague on a small town. (Thats freakin wicked, man!) The story is, Hutter/Jonathan Harker is sent to meet with Orlok by Knock/Renfield to sale him an old house a crossed where Hutter and his wife Ellen Hutter/Mina Harker live. Along the way he is warned by the locals of wild animal and ghost that inhabits "The Land of the Phantoms", of course Hutter dosen't believe in such things and continues his journey to Orlok's castle.
Once there he greeted by Orlok and is served with a meal.
While cutting a peace of bread, Hutter cuts himself and Orlok is attracted to the site of Hutter's blood and tries to taste his blood, but Hutter dodges his attempt.
The next night Orlok signed the deed to his new house after he was intrigued by a photo of Ellen.
While Orlok rested on the ship that was returning to Hutter's home town, the crew gets really sick, one by one they die. The captain and his first mate suspect a plague that is carried by rats, that are in the coffins are to blame. Orlok reveals himself and the ship, now belongs to him. Now at his new home across from Hutter and Ellen's home Orlok sets and waits for the opportunity to strike.
Well I'm not going to give out a lot of detals of this film, you are just going to have to check it out for yourself.
I give it a 5 out of 5 stars!
