its so annoying. we had some dude from optimum come over and look at it. he said the connection is fine, then he unplugged everything and pluged them back in and it worked.. but it still shuts off, so i have to unplug and plug back in everything about every 30 minutes, which is really annoying. I think our cable modem might be going so that could be the problem. So ill still be around somewhat, just not constantly everyday.

Try getting high-speed internet through the phone line.
That is what I have, and it is pretty reliable.

nah i dont think my parents would go for the whole computer through the phoneline thing. and also when you have that and you call 911 they cant track you down. badnews there. i think someone is coming over again tomorrow to check it out. hopefully it gets fixed already.. we've been having problems with the internet for a few years now.

My Cable-connection sometimes goes out, mostly for short periods, but it gets annoying.

My internet only goes when people buzz from the lobby. It instantly reconnects though.

I have have mine through cable, its usualy pretty reliable but it goes out for a few hours every couple weeks.

There is no perfect internet.
From what I have heard, cable has faster downloading but slower internet browsing, while high speed dial up has slower downloading but faster internet browsing.

so the otherday we had someone come check it out, then he said that it was something outside, and today my brother said that they had came to work outside to try to fix the problem. it hasnt been giving me any problems at all now. hopefully this is finally fixed.

Older phone or cable lines can cause problems sometimes.
