I thought this was a pretty good movie. From the writer of Saw IV, V, and VI, although Saw has not been as good lately, this movie was pretty good.
I wont judge the acting, as I am not a good judge of that, unless it is very atrocious.
The kills were pretty imaginative and graphic. Which is on par for the writers of the SAW's. A little torture and a lot of blood.
The story was ok. There is still a lot left to the imagination, maybe even for sequels or even preguels.
I would give it about a 7 out of 10.

Yea you can tell that it was done by the Saw writers, the way they killed the people.

Yea you can tell that it was done by the Saw writers, the way they killed the people. That was a double edged sword for me. Yeah it was entertaining to see, but I had to remind myself this wasn't Saw, it was something else. It's an all right film, not something I'd buy though.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Good stuff. Gore, creativity, no comedy, good story and good ending. Not perfect and a few plot holes but for a modern movie it gets my vote. 8/10
Enjoyed Orphan also. Not as much as this but good stuff IMO. 7/10

Pretty interesting little flick, even though the similarities to saw was obviously there,i still quit enjoyed it. The killer was different in a weird sadistic type of way. I'll definitely pick this one up when it's released on Blu-Ray.
8/10

Missed it in theaters. Didn't stay long. Heard they may be sequels. Will definitely pick it up on DVD though. Looked good...

So much to like about this one I don't know where to start.
Suffice to say it's a major Saw rip-off, but the best by far(not that the competition is much chop mind you),hell I'd go as far as to say that The Collector is to Saw, what Friday the 13th is to Halloween(except without the same financial success unfortunately. With a sequel on the way, you never know we may end up with Jigsaw vs Collector movie down the track. .With his knack for booby traps, this collector dude seems the ideal candidate to be a Jigsaw protogé.
That one of the main areas this film delivers. The booby traps all pay off so well, providing the visceral oomph.
And I like any film that can find room for Bauhaus on the soundtrack, especially when it's my favourite song of their's.
Definitely one for the Collection!
Oh yeah I forgot, keep watching after the credits - there's a hidden scene.
