Same here. Been watching them since I was little. Godzilla 1985 got me into him. Then TBS would show them all the time. I'd also rent a bunch of them on New Years eve every year. I saw bootleg copies of the 90's films too because a friend had them. I was happy when they were finally released in the late 90's.

Yeah me neither I didn't know about them until Brax told me about them. Its too bad that they don't show them on tv like they used to, I only recently saw the original for the first time and would love to see more of them but unfortunately the days of tv stations sowing these types of movies late at night are over I'm afraid.

Thanks for bringing up these reviews. It got me into a Giant Monster movie watching mood. I've watched Gorgo and the first couple of Gamera movies. Speaking of Gamera you ever watched his series of films? Some of the middle ones are kind of silly like Godzilla's. But his earlier ones and the ones made in the 90's are pretty sweet. In fact the trilogy in the 90's is some of the best Kaiju movies ever made IMO. Gamera is easily my second favorite Kaiju. It's too bad he and Godzilla never had a crossover film together. I know different people through the years have tried to get one made. But now that there's a new Godzilla being made it's doubtful we'll see them in a film together anytime soon.

You are really missing out then. It wasn't an exaggeration when I said they are some of the best Kaiju films ever made. There is a torrent file that has the trilogy and the latest Gamera film online. You should look for it. If you like the older Gamera films you'll love the ones made in the 90's.

Cool. Let us know what you think of them after you've watched them.
