Movie Info (includes Trailer)I actually just heard about this. At first, I though it was going to be the latest film in the Exorcist franchise but it turns out to be a whole different style. It is like Paranormal Activity or Blair Witch Project, but with a possession. It looks interesting even if it is PG-13.

Good lord no.... EVERYONE in the theaters boo'd when it was over. I never seen more disappointed people in one room since RZ Halloween.

Freaking wow!! This is strange seeing as I am reading reviews and they aren't terrible reviews either on Rotton Tomatoes, it has an average of 69% so far. But of course of non reviewers it has a 41%.
Really boring movie maybe??

Just GREAT expectations with no payoff! Such a buildup to nothing! There was ONE sorta special effect... her body was contorted THAT'S IT! Absolutely nothing else.... horrible acting. Just feel like I was scammed out of money. Hey don't take my word for it. Burn $11 if you want... but I know good horror and this is NOT it.

Good or bad, it is a success, as it only cost $1.8 million to make and was #2 last weekend (only narrowly) with a $20 million take.
They likely spent more on marketing then production.

I saw it Friday morning, and I agree with Demon, definetly nothing worth running out and seeing, put it this way I got in on a $5 ticket and that's about all it was worth and would have been majorly pissed if I'd paid more. All the good exorcism stuff is in the trailers and worse the ceiling crawl we see in the trailer isn't even in the movie. The first 45 minutes consists of absolutely NOTHING but talking into the camera for the most part and getting to the farm and talking to the family. I spent the first half on edge constantely thinking Ok something must be about to happen. As for the exorcism sequences themselves they were incredibly short and anti-climatic, to the point when the one in the barn is over you were like, 'is that it'? As for the actual ending all I have to say is where the hell did that come from, and believe me when I tell you it could not have a more Blair-Witchy end.

Complete fucking garbage. I'm not sure what the hell it was i was watching. The noisy teens walking up and down the fucking theater, texting and acting like total lunatics during the bullshit they called the last exorcism was the most horrible experience i ever had during a horror movie. I rather watch Zombies Halloween. Seriously,i agree totally with D on this.Don't waste your time ,its all a scam.
P.S. Paranormal Activity is a much better film.

Paranormal Activity may have been better but it's the lesser evil.

Glad the theater manager felt my pain. He saw how disgusted i was after i explained to him my experience,he decided to give me a few complimentary passes to see another movie. I was thankful, because with those passes i saw MACHETE. Now that was an awesome movie.

It looked wayyy too much like Emily Rose. That is the only reason I didn't see it.I liked Emily Rose a lot myself as well.

I think your think of Rose Red babe, I'm talking about The Exorcism Of Emily Rose. Its based on an actual exorcism case where the priest invovled is on trial for involuntary manslaughter, the whole movie is told through the trial in flashback form.

And not to mention it happened way back in the 70s and the woman was not possesed ( I think she was having a schizophrenic moment or something) and she died from lack of food and water
