This is a lost gem of the 80s. And when I say lost I mean lost literally. It was only released once in the early 80s. No re releases of any kind sense and you can imagine how much this movie costs for those who do own a copy of it. This is a very good movie. I was on Amazon on "listmania" looking up peoples movie selections for horror and came across this one. I found an online version of it and I watched it last night. This movie is not sappy, has pretty solid acting and is pretty creepy along with a pretty good musical score. It's a Canadian horror film about six women auditioning for a part for a guy who lives in apparently a seclusive place up in Canada. It's suspensful and it's not as "slashy" as some of the 80s are but it has good kills and I definetly recommend for those who have not seen it. You probably aren't getting it in your hands unless you have a load of cash to cough up or if you already have it, I envy you Definite 5 stars from me!

Wait a minute, there was never an "official" other release of this past the VHS 83 release, is yours a bootleg or a transfer or something?
But I am envious now : D

I saw this in the theater with my Mom when I was about 10. The lake scene terrified the hell out of me!

Just thought I'd pass this long. This movie got a mini re release that I stumbled upon in Walmart. Some folks named Echo Bridge entertainment released this on something called their "Midnight Horror collection bloody slashers" 4 movies on 1. I found it in the bargin bin for 5 dollars. Not easy to recognize as you see the poster on this looks nothing like the original one. I haven't watched yet but I have been told it looks like it was ripped from youtube. It's full screen and I am sure it would look better on the Vestron than it would on this. But I guess you can take waht you can take. Just passing this along. Look for the image below in Walmart

Been wanting to see this for a long time, just don't know if I want the first viewing to be on that crappy looking 4 film DVD that Rebel posted. Full screen and with 4 films on a disc, I've heard it looks like ass. Sick of films like that and Slaughter High getting rubbish releases, if it at all.

Great little hidden gem The ice skating scene is intense and creepy, the atmosphere is great and the killer's mask is fantastic it's unfortunate though that it doesn't have a good release. Hopefully they release a better version sometime soon.

Which seems to be the best looking quality available and compared to mine.
