Hmm maybe but the director of the movie Alien said that the aliens might be a Bio Weapon.

The book series probably came out before the behind the scenes stuff from the Director. Of course even what the Director says is just a theory. The person who'd know would be the writer. Maybe he has a better idea of their entire history. Of course unlike the fans he probably doesn't care. He probably wrote it to pay rent. LOL

Yeah a lot of fans do tend to know more about what they like then the writers and staff of the films. Ok in AVP is showed the alien queen already on Earth when in the other films the aliens were almost at Earth. I know AVP is based before the films so I guess we wait for AVP 2.

Well yeah. AVP would be considered a retcon. Because of how much it changed the way things have already gone in both the Alien and Predator series of Films. Or at least the way you view them. Of course you could view AVP as a separate universe. As bad as the movie was I almost think that's the best option. LOL Speaking of AVP 2 I've heard that the Predator from Predator 2 or maybe a relative of that particular Predator will be in the movie. That might actually make it watchable.

I know like in one they dropped a Predator in another world and it had to fight like 1000 aliens. I think it was the director. He took the horror away from AVP and Resident Evil 2. I mean they have cool action but...

I read somewhere that the ship in the first Alien movie had harvested the alien eggs, attempting to take them somewhere and, as BloodBath said, use them as a means of "weakening their enemy" before a massive invasion, but that one egg hatched and, well, you can figure out the rest.

It's fairly obvious the ship in the first movie has nothing to do with Wayland. They weren't even human. They actually looked kind of like a elephantine species. But they had similar motives.

One theory I heard, and it was kind of neat, is that it's the Predator ship at the end of Alien vs Predator.
Maybe that was an elder Predator or something, and that one chest-buster that appeared at the end was a Queen.
Kind of farfetched, but plausible.

Yep that is definitely farfetched. Considering it looked nothing like a Predator. But we don't know everything about the Predator species. Who knows I suppose there could be another form of Predator we haven't seen that looked like that Alien hooked up to the machinery? Interesting theories definitely going around. I guess future movies could explain a lot.

The chest buster at the end of AVP is called a Predalien which is in the AVP comics, a combo of Predator and Alien, no we get to see it in a chest buster form.

I know about the Predalien, but the Xenomorphs seem to take some traits from whatever they "infect", like the dog alien from Alien 3. Who is to say the creature, whatever it was, didn't spawn a unique-looking alien? Like IFdude said, we don't know everything about the Yautja species. That could be some kind of elder or something, but like I said it's only a theory, one that would tie the two series together. Honestly, I like to consider the Alien vs Predator film as its own universe. They took some elements from the novels and comics, but it was toned down and lost a lot of its flare, so I am in agreement with IFdude's mentioning of the film being its own universe.

Yep. It retconned so much that honestly that's the only way I can watch it. I suppose they could come out with a movie or 2 that tied it all together well. But as it is right now I really do look at AVP outside of the series. They very well may make a good movie that does both series justice and ties it all together. I actually hope they can. But as long as they limit themselves with a PG-13, rely on CGI so much and do such piss poor story telling like they did with AVP I'm not really holding out much hope. LOL

It is in the main storyline. I mean it is based soon after Predator 2 but then like 100 years before Alien. The elder is chosen by the main council as said in a AVP comic. So it is not an elder. It's name really is Pred-Alien, lol. It was also in the Video Games.

I may have read this situation wrong, but... I was referring to the creature in the first movie sitting near the telescope, how it had the hole in its chest. That is what I was referring to as an elder Predator.
At least in Predator 2, despite the Yautja being young, it could still put up a good fight. Though it did get tossed around by Danny Glover, which most will overlook in favor of his other in-film accomplishments.

I knew that was what you were talking about Kwik. That's why I agreed the theory was far fetched due to looking nothing like a Predator. But like I said who knows what the full species looks like? Maybe there are Predators that look nothing like the ones from the Predator movies.
