A mentally retarded man is wrongfully accused of attacking a small girl and is hunted down and murdered by vigilantes in a cornfield. The men are tried, and found not guilty but soon begin to pay for their crime as they're picked off one by one by someone dressed as a scarecrow. The best made-for-television horror film I've ever seen, 'Dark Night' is a truly creepy movie. Charles Durning gives an evil performance as Otis the mailman. TBS used to show this on Halloween every year, it's a perfect movie for the season. Comments?

I haven't seen it in years. I remember loving it though. Hopefully I get to see it again eventually. I loved it when TBS showed this kind of film. Boy do I miss those days.

I havent seen this but Ive seen some other scarecrow films suchs as Night of the Scarecrow and Scarecrow Slayer and they were all bad so this one cant possibly be as bad as those.

The other two that you mention pretty much suck Mr. Christy. I can just about guarantee you'll like Dark Night of the Scarecrow.

It was a staple every year on or near Halloween back in the early to mid 90's.

Pardon me then. As far as I know, as far back as the early 90's.
