Does this sound familiar? : "The terrifying legend of Trevor Moorehouse, a masked figure who wields a chainsaw instead of a left hand, is behind this frightening game of Hide and Seek played on the first night of camp every year. But this year, an underlying sense of terror is lurking in the minds of the campers and counselors. And thrills by a campfire soon turn into the counselors' worst nightmares as they begin to disappear, one by one. Blood-curdling screams and the roar of a chainsaw are the only sounds in the isolated woods and the remaining counselors must scramble to solve the mystery before becoming the killer's next victim." It reads very close to FRIDAY THE 13TH! Some people who have watched the movie are even saying it is any wonder the filmmakers have not been sued. The killer even wears a hockey mask! In short, this is not a very good movie, although the lead actress, Jessica Morris is good. And despite the title, the blood, as one person has said, "looks like spray paint," and there isn't very much of it. Nevertheless, I sat through the entire film. The sequel is a whole lot better than this one Terri. More gore, better acting, just an all-around better movie. I was really disappointed in the first one.

Yeah this is one of the times when the sequel is actually better than the first IMO too.

I only seen the sequel. It's a solid movie for at least trying to bring the slasher genre in to the 21st century. The sequel is good but I have been told as yall have stated the first is the worst. Usually it's the other way around. I'd definetly recommend at least watching the sequel.
