Does anyone care to see this? I think Benicio Del Toro is a great actor plus Anthony Hopkins is going to be in it.

I'm really looking forward to this, just having actors of the quality they do its not going to be the same type of horror remake, it looks like it may be able to stand on its own.

I saw it Sunday afternoon, and I really enjoyed it. It truly was the wolfman and not some much werewolf if that makes sense, he looked more human than wolf in the face and he moved mostly on 2 legs and only went down an all fours to run. It had some great effects when it comes to transformation and the werewolf attacks. Del Toro and Hopkins both did a great job. Alot of the original plot is in this one but there are some very important differences.

I read mixed to negative reviews from websites from standard critics such as Rotton Tomatoes and horror critics like Bloody Disgusting.
I know it was #3 at the box office. It made 9 million on opening night. Its budget was 85 million and I think last I checked it hasn't reached that budget with only making 30 Million so far. So I guess no love for the Wolfman.
Bloody Disgusting gave it 1.5/5 skulls. I think Tomatoes gives it 30% and the actual people grading beyond regular critics have it around the 50% rank. So yeah I guess I'll have to see since I see very view giving it a good grade.
EDIT: Reading some fan reviews on other sites they are much nicer.
Let me know what yall think when yall see it! : )

I am not that interested in seeing it even though I am a Hopkins fan. I think I would rather watch the original first which I have never seen.

The 1941 classic isn't exactly what I see in Walmart even though I am fairly surprised it didn't get re-released as everything else does when a remake pops out. This is why I haven't seen the Saw movies yet since I like to go in order. I'll know what to compare to. I'll see it in the future

The movie did very well this weekend, making $35 million over four days, as well as a solid opening overseas.

I must correct myself, I did today in Walmart see the 1941 movie. It's in the new release section. They have it with the image from a prior releas on it and it's like 10 dollars. Beside it was a special edition 2 disk release for like 20 dollars.

I thought it was just...ok. The original is much better, as is usually the case. The acting was good, but the CGI was a big turn-off for me.

Thanks Firestar for those links! I'll have to aside time to check it out before I see this to properly know what to think about this. I thought it was just...ok. The original is much better, as is usually the case. The acting was good, but the CGI was a big turn-off for me. A complaint I see from many looking on B-D.com is the atmosphere. And the story was uneven. Agree or disagree?
