Interestingly enough, The Ward has already hit DVD in Australia,which I'm pretty sure makes us the first territory in the world to get a home format release.

Im more disturbed that a John Carpenter movie TOOK THIS LONG to find a distributor. Seriously it's John Carpenter?? You don't deny the man distribution!

I haven't heard much about thismovie but I plan on seeing it, its been a long time since I've seen a Carpenter movie in the theatre.

It has a 6.5 on IMDB. I do believe that is much higher than "Ghosts of Mars". Perhaps he nailed one?? I wish he did the music though. I am a big fan of his synthesizer scores.

No wonder no one was responding to my thread about The Ward... they already responded to this one. I never saw it because it was posted in the wrong board. It should be in 90's 00's Horror not the Voo Doo Lounge.

This wasn't anything special. It's competent and all that, but it really doesn't feel too much like a Carpenter film. It was just too by the numbers and personally, I got that the sense that Carpenter wasn't all that inspired to direct this and just took it for the check, like he does for everything these days.
Still...it could have been a complete disaster after being 10 year out of the game with Ghost of Mars the prior effort. Hope he has another solid film left in him.
