I will definately be seeing this. Of course, I always see just about every horror film that comes out these days....It does look good, though. The dolls in it are very cute from what I have seen so far!

This is my fav horror movie I've seen so far this year. Ventriloquists are creepy and the older lady was excellent in this role. The special effects were cool and if you like the Saw endings this one you would enjoy as well in my opinion.

Just checked this out on dvd and loved it. One of the better stories involving ventriloquists up ther with Pin IMO. I 'm still pissed off that it didnt get a cinema release down here in Oz though

Like I said in another post Billy creeped me out much more than Chucky ever has.

Billy is a much scarier looking dummy no doubt. Chucky has his moments but something about Billy is sooo much scarier.

I think the inanimate ventriloquist dummy is always much scarier than a walking talking animatronic doll simply because the scary comes the control of the dummy-the madness of the ventriloquist themselves. It lies just on te cusp of believability yet we all know a doll possessed by the spirit af a dead serial killer is pure make believe

I definitely think it probably has to do with the lack of expression on Billy's face. If they did the same thing with Chucky where he kept the regular dolls face while doing his killing it would have been creepier.

thats a fair point even some of the most gimmicky doll/puppet movies have had creepy figures due to that lack of expression - think Blade from the Puppet Master series, and probably explains why, although Chucky has slashed his way thru 5 movies thae more personality he was given and more facial expression the less scarier he become(ironically showing more depth than many a would be victim)

The pacing felt a little off sometimes and I think there were some things I would've done differently, but overall I realy realy liked it. Great atmosphere, great story, great effects, and I disagree with Jess, I thought the ending was perfect

Before this film came out,i thought it was going to be a child's play rip-off. Glad to see they went a different route with the film.

I'm a bit surprised at the comments in this thread. The reaction to this film was generally negative, among horror fans I'm saying, and all the comments in here reacted positively.

We tend to be a bit more open minded here. Look how many people like Halloween 3 and Friday part 5 here. Even though most horror fans hate those films. We look at the entire movie and look for the good in it because horror is awesome! I really don't understand the elitist attitude some horror fans have. They spend more time complaining about problems with movies rather than looking for the good.

I can't stand those people, especially when they think they know it all, then they try to belittle people with their professional and fact BS.Its like they think we all dumb or something,Its insulting.
In the end, they just end up looking like the biggest ass on the forum and in the real world.
