Well considering that he's probably gonna die I doubt it'll be a Busta Rhymes situation. Also, LL Cool J was in H20 and he did a pretty good job.

Yes, LL Cool J is a rather good actor. I see ads for NCIS: Los Angeles with him, but don't watch the show.

I've always enjoyed LL Cool J as an actor. He does a great job on NCIS: Los Angeles.

Trey Songz is probably better than a lot of other singers that could have filled the role. I don't expect him to survive though. If he does, I'll be surprised.
Seems like a quick little publicity jolt really. That isn't a bad thing, and I don't believe it will influence the movie too much. It seems they're going to stick with the simple Horror formula. If they do, I'll be satisfied.

Just a question for everyone, but what is your reaction to the casting of Trey Songz? I don't know much about his career, but most of us have a bad taste in our mouth after Busta's "contribution" to the Halloween franchise. He's not at the level of fame Busta was when H:R came out. I understand why they cast him though. Trying to get his fans to watch. I don't mind stunt casting if the character isn't there to one up the antagonist. Fighting back against the killer is expected. But making an icon like Michael or this case Leatherface look like a fool is just bad for the film. A good example of stunt casting is LL Cool J in H20. Not a huge part, but he served his purpose. I think that's what the people behind Resurrection were hoping for when they cast Busta. As long as Trey is used more like LL than Busta I'll be fine with his inclusion in the film.
