That is one of the best movie scenes ever. It is interesting to note that Mickey Rooney spoke out against the first movie in the series, but ended up playing a part in one of the sequels.

Mickey Rooney is a bizarre man. In fact, I am pretty sure he's immortal.

I'm surprised that alot of people didn't know so many of them existed. I'm only routing for 1 & 2, after that so-so, even though I have them all. I usually like to collect Garbage sometimes just for my collection to be completed. Great thread Demon

I think there was a thread about these movies a long time ago. I mentioned winning a lot of them on VHS for cheap on Ebay. If I remember correctly part 2 is like Hatchet 2. Its pretty much a recount of what happened in the first movie. I would say the first one is by far the best. I can't really remember the other ones its been a long time since I watched them.

From the trailers I think you might mean Part 3 Stinger. But I recently acquired Part 1,2 and 5.

From Best to worst in this order:
The original - Great plot, actors, setting. All around a pretty epic horror Christmas that pretty much everybody can enjoy
Part 5: the Toymaker - the fifth and last movie. Has no relation to the original which is probably a good thing. Has Mickey Roony. It's a pretty enjoyable movie really. Has an interesting twist at the end and for such a departure, its a fun horror Christmas ride.
Part 4 Initiation - Not too bad as this one involves rituals and withcraft and entanglement on Christmas Eve. No relation to the original but how odd the two last ones are the best made movies of the bunch?
The 3rd "You better watch out" Marginally better than the second, the fool doesn't talk here and not the same actor either. Just psychic powers that made literally no sense but at least it is watchable.
The 2nd - A steaming pile of monkey crap. The first 40 minutes are a RE CAP of the original. Fluttered with an idiot who can't act and quite possibly one of the worst over actors of all time in any horror movie in any medium. If you want to see a movie that literally drops off a cliff in quality after an original, look no further than this steaming pile of feces.

1. Silent Night, Deadly Night- One of my favorite slasher flicks of the 80's. This movie caused so much controversy when it was released, but it's not nearly as bad as it was made out to be. The opening with the creepy grandfather and Santa killing the mother and father was the highlight of the film for me. Lilian Chauvin as Mother Superior gave a great performance.
Better Watch Out!- Everyone here knows I'm a big Jeffrey Combs fan, and I loved him in this as well.
The Initiation- Alot of people didn't like the witchcraft connection, but I thought it worked.

Sorry, but I had to post the Garbage Day scene. I love how the actor playing Ricky hams up the scene.
