Save yourself the time any money. All the best parts were in the commercial... Only the effects were good. The storyline is horrible. I fell asleep and Dina woke me up during any good destruction scenes. I then said "can we just get the f outta here?" she immediately said "yes let's go" and we were gone. I haven't walked out on a movie in years.

The director hasn't really made anything impressive since Independence Day, at least in my opinion.
I haven't seen this yet, but I'll probably watch it online. Though if what Demon says is true, wow, it will suck.

This is the third time that Roland Emmerich has destroyed the world. Not to mention destroying our respect for his directing skills.

It didn't live up to my expectations but I thought it was good and had some great moments. Nothing really starts happening til after the forty minute mark.

Thanks for the heads up yall. The previews on TV I guess were the movie right? I liked the scenes I saw on previews but if that's literally it and it ends bad I am not paying for it. I saw it in Walmart pretty heavily priced alongside Twinkie . . . I mean Twilight which was like 30 dollars unto itself. I almost cut myself right there : P

I got some rental coupons for my birthday, so I got the movie and as was said in the first post, the best parts are in the trailer.
Even the destruction sequences weren't up to par.

I learned a long time ago to never watch a Roland Emmerich movie, why? Becuase they're all the same.

I watched The Day After Tomorrow recently and despite its bogus "science," it is somehow watchable, which I can't say for 2012.
