When you are talking about Marion taking a shower and her death, what music are you playing?

And to explain how Norman's DID would work in 1 as to how rapidly he switches, it could be a number of factors. One, he dresses as mother when no one else is around to keep him from feeling lonely.
Two, mother comes about when Normal feels stressed, depressed, excited, scared, etc. It could be any trigger hence why it took him so long after spying on Marion.
Three, he is somewhat aware of it. Although rare in Dissociative Identity Disorder it is possible that he at least knows that mom is dead. But he is in deep denial about it, much like Ed Gein. Gein knew his mom was indeed dead, but was in denial. Norman's denial creates lies as to why she is in bed all the time as " being sick" and her violent attitude as when she wasn't herself. As evidenced in Psycho 2, Mother was not always ill. Something triggered her illness and thus in Psycho 1 explains why the mother personality was so cruel to Norman and why he allows her to walk all over him.

Interesting bro! I never thought of why he said she was sick or anything like that. He prob convinced himself she was so that he had an excuse for why she's always in bed

Exactly, it made him feel not guilty about killing her because in his mind, she wasn't dead. Just not feeling very well.
