IMDB:www.imdb.com/title/tt2184339/PLOT:Given the country's overcrowded prisons, the U.S. government begins to allow 12-hour periods of time in which all illegal activity is legal. During one of these free-for-alls, a family must protect themselves from a home invasion. The Purge 1080p Trailer Premiere:* Wow, tell me when you ever saw a plot like that!! Jesus. I don't even know what to make of those 12-hours of illegal activity. 1 % unemployment, killing at an all-time low, then comes The Purge, crazy world. Ethan is putting in some works of late.

An interesting premise for a film. I'll check it out.

I like the premise as well. It reminds me a bit of Death Race 2000 in terms of the dystopian theme.

So...if everything is legal for 12 hours, why wear masks? And how does making basically anarchy and chaos legal for a day run the unemployment rate down to 1%? I might see it out of curiosity.

Introduce a little anarchy, upset the establish order and everything becomes chaos.

Hell, if I lived in the world that this...kinda stupid plot sets up, I'd just plan a vacation once a year at Canada and hang out with Jeremy

I was just going to comment on this Stalker. $3 million budget Purged soured the box office with $40 mill take down, impressive. Sounds like fun Stalker!!!

Yes, it did double its expectations this weekend, but the reaction is very mixed. From what I have read, a lot of people really liked the concept, but it turned into just another home invasion movie. I was away this weekend, so I didn't get a chance to go see it.

I actually ended up liking this movie more than I thought I would after hearing the mixed reviews. I would give it a 3 1/2 out of 5. I hear a sequel is on the way.

Yes, a second film is in the works after its surprise success. Once again, low budget filmmaking beats a blockbuster.

So do you want these people for neighbors or not? I don't mind having a little fun once in a while, especially how this economy is going. The ratings can go up. So yes, I definitely wouldn't mind such neighbors.
