Yeah, can't say I've ever seen him give a bad performance in anything I've seen him in. Probably the best character actor working in Hollywood today.

I wouldn't argue that point at all. He steals every scene he's in.

I did not like this movie. I thought the story just seemed too forced and I only cared about one character in the whole damn movie and she wound up getting killed in the end, but it was the prequel so she had to. I hated the camera work as well. I liked nothing about this movie.

I love Hoyt.. But I have to say that I love Leatherface more.. He's like my favorite killer, besides Michael Myers, and right next to Jason.
I loved this movie, a lot of people thought it was stupid though.. But I tend to like the movies that nobody else likes..

The more I watch this, the more I think it is a far superior film than the remake was. Hoyt was awesome, he was more hockey in the remake, in this he was actually scary and badass. A little comedic, but not overdone like the remake was. Also i thought the remake was too slow moving, all that business with the car and Hoyt seemed to take an hour. Also there were a lot of actual Chainsaw murders and they were done right. Better characters, better storytelling, more violent and an awesome ending. Love this movie. A breath of fresh air to the horror genre I say.

I'm not really a graphic novel fan. But I enjoy tcm movies. I really liked this one. Better than the remake.

I think both films are equal. The prequel is just the story on what happened before the remake took place, thats all it is.I liked it,i liked it a lot.
Some folks don't but thats life.
The graphic novel continues where the remake left off.The story is pretty damn interesting and Leatherface still kills with one arm

My guess is that his left arm got a lot more stronger after losing his right arm in the remake.Kinda like if you go blind your hearing abilities increase.
But Leather Face was always known for having incredible upper body strength anyway,so using a chainsaw with one arm isn't that hard.
In the graphic Novel Leatherface has no problem using the chainsaw with one arm,and the sheriff seems to be alive as well
Don't want to give it away though

I wish the director of this one was doing the F13 remake instead of the remake guy.
