In Land of the Dead they moved slow and I loved it! They also moved slow in the original Zombe movies! Yet in 28 Days Later they decided to make them run! And the Dawn of the Dead remake followed that trend and made them run as well.
How do you believe dead corpses brought back to life should move?

Zombies should move slow. When they ran in Dawn of the Dead, that just totally threw off the zombie look. They look A LOT better moving slow.

Slow, no doubt about it. They are much more scary that way. The original Night of the Living Dead is on of my all time favorite movies.

The thing that's so great about Zombies moving slow is that the factors change!
When they move fast the same threat is there that would be there with a regular human... When they move slow there's only 2 ways they can get you. Sneak up on you unheard, or too many at once! Now the suspence and thrill of trying to get away from a bunch of slow Zombies compared to one fast one is soooo much more fun and realistic! The whole atmosphere is enhanced when they are slow! George A Romero is a genious!

Seeing a zombie run is rather amusing, because wouldn't their weight cause their kneecaps to dissolve and break, sending them collapsing to the ground legless? We see how easy it is to break a zombie's limb, so I'm sure running would make them break apart like dropping a jigsaw puzzle from a rooftop. My vote is, and shall always be, for slow zombies.

I guess when they make these movie they consider them supernatural from the begining and figure normal laws of nature don't pertain to the zombies. For example they could'nt make too many noises with rotted vocal chords nor would dead eyes function to see. Including the one's without eyes do okay too Along with a billion other reasons zombies could never really exist So at this point it's all preference

I recall a few zombie movies where the survivors are grabbed by them, and they easily rip their limbs off. But, I suppose like people, all zombies are different. Just look at Jason Voorhees nowadays, that's about the toughest zombie there is.

I like my zombies slow and dumb.. lol they are more scarier that way. you can push them around if you're fast enough and punch them lol..like night of the living dead.. when the girl with the short red hair got fed up and started to push the zombies around when she got fed up with the whole thing lol..i also like the twichers...

SSLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWW! Honestly, I agree with Tommy. He nailed it. The atmosphere is just so much better with the slow zombies. It the feeling of a creeping doom coming over you. You can get away if there are just a couple of them, however if you fall asleep, or aren't paying attention-watch out.

i didn't like the one zombie from land of the dead. well they tried to make the zombies smart. i liked the whole idea of them trying to be like they used to be when they were alive but to make them smart i don't think so. zombies are suppose to be slow dumb and useless they have no functioning brain...lol

The zombies were smart, because in Day Of The Dead they figured a way to educate them, I think they were trying to play off of that concept. I like fast zombies in some movies, slow in others.... it depends on the movie.

I prefer em to be slow. There more creepier slow and usually are lurking around corners where there victims are unlikly to hear em (sept the groans!) Fast zombies ya could hear coming.

Yea Mrs. Vorhees you should see Day of the Dead its the 3rd movie in the series right before Land of the Dead....it explains why they got smart......there were experiments and stuff going on with this doctor. I highly reccomen watching all of the Dead films.
