I totally agree, he was a tremendous actor it was a shame that we lost him so early! I would of loved to see him in the next one! It's ironic that the Joker didn't die, but we lost Heath Ledger! RIP

There was a standing ovation for his win and Robert Downey Jr. was crying.

Went with the Dark Knight but it doesn't beat Batman by far for me. Always like Keaton's Batman & Jack's Joker.

My order re-vamped.
Batman Batman Returns Batman Begins (Great Batman film) The Dark Knight Batman and Robin Batman The Movie (1966) Batman Forever
After re-watching Batman Begins and The dark Knight i came to the conclusion that both films are very well made and entertaining.Tim Burton's Batman (I don't consider Batman Forever and Batman and Robin in the mix) was more on the fantasy and Gothical side of The batman universe while Batman Begins and The Dark Knight is a more reality take on the story.Looking forward to the third film rumored to have The Riddler and Harley Quinn as the villains.
Very Cool.

Yeah Joel Schumacher was a dumbass. I'd say watch batman begins and TDK if you want a more realistic style of the Batman comics but if you want a comic accurate Batman watch Batman (1989)

I wouldn't mind seeing a third Tim Burton Batman film, with Keaton reprising his role as The Bat.Even though i now appreciate The more realistic version of Batman with BB and TDK,i wouldn't think twice to step back into Tim Burtons Batman world.I mean lets face it,Tim Burtons Batmobile will always look the coolest.

The more I watch The Dark Knight, the less I like it. Even if you cut everything but the Joker scenes, it doesn't fly with me. I think that's because Ledger can play a sociopath well, but that's the problem - A sociopath, there's nothing to let you know it is the Joker but the costume and people calling him that.
Anyway, Mask of the Phantasm is pretty good. The scenes with Bruce Wayne at the grave of his parents, pretty powerful stuff.

I loved the idea of The Phantasm, a highly underrated villaina nd a huge intricate part of that movie in more ways than one.

Wellllllllllllllll ;D
I have yet to see "Dark Knight" "Batman 66" or the animated one about Joker returning. I have and do own a clammy of Mask of the Phantasm. I won't rank until I have seen them all though.
I did see Batman Begins recently. I am glad I got it cheap through an amazon free card becaues that movie bored me to TEARS. That was one of the most boring Batman movies I do believe I have ever watched in my entire life. I felt like I was being mean to it so I tried watching it again much later and same reaction. Drunk or sober, that movie put me to sleep.

What did you expect them to do after the debacle that was Batman & Robin?
Batman Begins brought credibility back to the franchise and was a quite a box office success as well.
The Dark Knight got even more praise and joined the billion dollar club.
Did people expect more cartoony nonsense like Schumacher's excuses for movies?
The franchise was at the point that Halloween was after Resurrection, so they needed to reboot things.

I was fine with BB and TDK I just felt it lacked something, same with the Burton films. Either way I enjoyed the ones done by Nolan and Burton, both were fine, both are memorable and both treated Joker very well. I didn't mind Forever and as for Batman and Robin, blame WB. They wanted a Batman that could sell toys, this happens with every major superhero franchise at some point, example Spider-man 3. Sony wanted so many villains in 3 to sell toys and thus it became a joke. That's what happened with Forever, the original script was actually much better than the final version, alot of things were cut from Forever that made Two-Face much more disturbing, like there was a scene were Two-Face's cell had a dead gaurd inside on the floor and the words " The Bat must die!" written on the wall in blood. Not everything was Shumachers fault, in Forevers case anyway.
