I first saw this on HBO like 10 years ago and I just recently saw it on cable again. What can I saw other than it is a really bad Child's Play ripoff. A lawyer brings home a wooden puppet that was a piece of evidence in a criminal investion. During a birthday party her daughter finds the doll and thinks it one of her presents and instantly becomes attached to it. Then bad things start to happen and the daughter claims that the doll is responsible. So is it the daughter being possessed by the puppet or the puppet itself that is commiting the crimes ? That is the real mystery of the movie. I dont have anything positive to say about this one. No good violence or blood, bad acting, slow story. Horrible puppet that barely moves and animates. The only interesting things is that I read that Verne Troyer(Mini Me) was the Pinocchio stunt double and the studio that made this (Trimark) also made the Leprechaun films.

I've seen this a couple of times on TV, its definetly bad but like alot of bad horror of this kind, I found it sort of fun to watch once I realized not to take it seriously. That being said I would.n't go out of my way to see it if you haven't.

Yeah there are plenty of B movies out there that are bad but enjoyable to watch because you can laugh at them but this one isnt one of those its just boring. You need to watch this right after you watch Child's Play so you can make fun of how inferior it is to Child's Play. Remember the scene in Child's Play where the Chucky comes to life and attacks the mother well in this movie there's a similar scene but because of the low budget when the doll attacks the woman it barely moves and the scene is really short.

This comes on late night cable sometimes for some reason. I would avoid it unless you have a nice buzz on and want to laugh at it.
