This is another one of those movies that was on HBO a lot. The film was supposedly inspired by the story of real-life dentist/serial killer Glennon Engleman. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glennon_EnglemanThis is a lower budget film but they got Corbin Bernsen in the lead role who was a big star on television on LA Law and he also had big roles in Major League, the baseball comedy and its sequel. So yeah, I really like this film. Havent seen it in a while and need to see it again. I'd say its one of the better lower budget films of its kind during the mid 90's. There was a sequel called Dentist 2: Brace Yourself which I haven't seen.

I never thought Corbin Bernsen would be able to pull this role off. He did a nice job with it though, good movie.

I thought this movie was going to be stupid but after watching it, I must admit I was surprised by it.

The Dentist, to me, has the same feel to it as Dr. Giggles. Two examples of good 90's horror.

I also never saw this cuz I thought it would be stupid. Funny thing is I have a copy in my house, it was Brandi's before we met. She also had Dr Giggles and I never wanted to see that but I watched it with her a few months back and it was better than I thought so maybe this will be also.

I only first saw Dr. Giggles a few weeks ago, it was one of those that I always meant to see but just never did. I found it very enjoyable especially since it had a pretty well developed storyline from the good doctor to the girl with the heart condition, it all seemed to fit together well.

I have seen this movie on TV a few times. It made me cringe at dentistry for a while!! This was a pretty good unknown original 90s horror movie!
I think it has a sequel as well but I can't remember if it's that good?
