I'm not really surprised by that, they both pick up after each other! I remember when they did both "Back to the Future part II & III" at the same time! Damn, how in the Hell did Michael do two movies and a TV show at the same time!

Why was good Superman dressed as Clark? When I first saw it I thought Good Superman lost all his powers!

Quest For Peace was awesome!
They got a great budget, and the special effects really shone because of it. ;D

Batman and Robin was worse...at least Superman IV had the great performance of Chris Reeve.

They drastically cut the budget, so special FX were done cheaply and they reused footage.

In the end it always comes down to money. I went for 1 and 2 they were by far the best. I've always preferred Batman over him as well, Superman is just too clean cut and perfect whereas Batman is darker and flawed and that just makes him more interresting at least to me.

It was funny how in the wake of TDK being successful, there were reports of studios wanting "dark" superhero movies all around.
Superman as a dark figure just doesn't seem right to me.

Same here, look at his suit! It's too bright to be dark!

The closest he got to being dark was when he was split into the good and evil halves, and that was fine.

Donner's cut is awesome, I didn't know that in fact he made both Superman 1 and 2 at the same time. Yeah he did but he only finished about 75% of Superman II before he had to focus on Superman: The Movie. Then they fired Donner for clashes with the producer, that is why there is enough footage in order to build a cut. One reason why I loved the Superman films was because it is family friendly, like Chris Reeve said "You can show it to an 8 to 80 year old kid". Sorry, I am in a Superman movie crazed where I watch all of the films started with Superman and The Mole Man over and over again.

I hope they recast Superman for the 2011 film. I chose Part 2 and 3.... 3 because I usually am buzzzzed. They need to completly redo what they did with Superman Returns, I think bringing Lex back is a good idea but they need to give us something new in this movie, a villian that we havn't seen in past movies, like Bizzaro or Doomsday, something new

I would love to see in the reboot, Brandon Routh returning as Superman as is Lex Luther (Kevin Spacey), however that new Lois has got to go. Also another villain should be Brainiac. Or maybe the return of General Zod!
Brandon Routh was great knowing the material given to him. Brian Singer tried to make Brandon Routh a Chris Reeve clone but failed to do that. I say let Brandon stay and write Superman like in the modern comics because he can do great with that material.
