I didn't really like the first one, so I am in no rush to see the sequel.

I still haven't had the chance to see it yet. I enjoyed the first one so I'll be seeing it in the future at some point, hopefully its a fun slasher like the first one.

Well I have seen it ever heard of streaming yall ;D It's in Walmart for 15 dollars which is cheaper than any other new release.
It is indeed BETTER than the original. Reverend Zombie is the main villian (who is barely seen in the original) the little girl from Halloween 4 and 5 is the lead actress (taking over the role that whoever that woman was from the original) great decisions. Great movie, better plot. And epic gore!
So check this one out, one of the rare cases where the sequel is better than the original. I hardly ever say that so hopefully that means something ;D
PS, I thought the original was mundane and overrated. So this was a pleasant surprise.

The humor was cut out too by the way. Any humor is nowhere near direct like the first one was. So I thought Adam Green improved significantly. So check it out. Very few times I say the sequel is better than the original. And there is no cliffhanger ending either.

I would say this had less humor but it still had more than I care for. The gore was great and the story was OK. I figured out the ending before it happened but it was still fun to watch and a good slasher. I can't say if I prefer one over the other at this stage though. I liked the original girl better than Danielle Harris though, even though she did ok.

Wow Im shocked that anyone had anything good to say about this amazingly bad movie. Even fans rate it like 36% on RT. I hated it before any of them. I got a screener for my horror radio show. They were sorry they gave it to me lol

I dont know dude... I think Adam Green is a hack. He tried to give us what he thought we wanted. But it lacked everything we love about 80s horror...
A guy hacking up teenagers in the woods was done and done 30 years ago. Changing it to a swamp is about the only difference here. Of course add in the fact that Victor Crowley is a lame character that doesnt have the stay power of any of the killers we all know and love.
IMO neither of these movies part 1 or 2 should be considered any better than the Gingerdead Man movies.

The first one was horribly overrated by Adam Green's minions, who were probably paid to say nice things. Victor Crowley will never be a horror icon, despite what Harry Knowles raved on about.
I haven't even seen the second one, but the people who liked it were probably just getting boners staring at Danielle Harris.

Green blames the MPAA for it being yanked from limited release so quickly, but maybe he should have taken a look at the miserable box office performance. It just didn't put butts in seats, so AMC replaced it with movies that might actually get more then a dozen people in the theater.

Did anyone else read his overlong diatribe about unrated movies and the MPAA? It screamed of egotistical self indulgence.

I think it was because people were giving him so much high praise comparing him to like Sean Cunningham and Wes Craven and such, it's like when M.Night Shamalyan got big, people were comparing him to Hitchcock and look what happened to him. ( Shamalyan I mean)

I watched it. I liked it. And I didn't even KNOW who that girl was until I eventually after I got done watching realized it was the grown up version of the Halloween 4 girl. The movie got rid of the boobs and non sense and had a modest story with balls to the walls gore. It's a slasher movie, what do ya expect I repeat again >_>
Regarding hte MPAA, I am NOT a fan of them anyway. They hate horror anyway. If I remember right Dawn of the Dead had to go unrated in a limited release because they hated that too. They butchered up many horror films. Hell there was one scene in Friday V the MPAA went skitzo over it involved a vagina kill tot he platinum blonde girl. They swore the Nightmare 4 folks to secretly that they forced them to get rid of a scene that had Freddy CHOPPING girls boobs off in a dream. So if Green wants to bitch at them, have at it if you ask me.

I will say that some of the time it is the MPAA like what they did with Friday the 13th part 7, it was butchered by the MPAA.
