It depends on how you look at it. You can look at it as basically Freddy Krueger's first movie if you think about it. I dont know really. hmm

I thought this movie was great too!! I think the young boy who starred in it, is such a great actor. I absolutely loved him in Pet Sematary!! ;D

I liked it, the concept of it was great! Very original.
My son loves all Nightmare on Elm Street movies, so he'd give em all 5's! lol

First, I don't consider this a "Nightmare on Elm Street" movie, but it is my favorite movie with Freddy Krueger in it. This is one of the few Wes Craven "hits" I was talking about on the thread for the original movie. It's just done really well and though I loved her in 1 and 3, I think that this is the first time where i could see that Heather Langenkamp could really act. I loved it!

this movie just didn't hold my interest much. I kept getting up and going to fridge or something. I watched it a couple weeks ago and can barely remember much of it. If I recall correctly, there really aren't many kills in this right? either way, i didn't find this as good as others did. like i said before, i'm not much of a Freddy. i think i rated this movie a 3...

There aren't very many kills. I think there are the two guys at the begining and then two kills later in the movie.

One of the best installments! This one was the only one that was creepy, in my opinion.

Liked this movie and how the script was a part of the script so to speak. Gave it a 4.

Great movie, original concept. I really liked this one, and I'm not even much of a Freddy fan.

FIVE I thought this was a GENIUS way to rekindle a sagging franchise even though it didn't do well in the box office.

I gave it a 3 star. I haven't watched the entire thing. Yet,
Only from the middle to the ending.

When I first watched this movie I was let down. It was nothing like a "Freddy Movie" and so I pissed it away. Then after a few years I watched it again and thought... hell, hal-a-fuckin'-loo-yah, it's not like the rest. Let's face it, after the first one the Freddy series went downhill fast and being different than that isn't a bad thing, I suppose. While this movie isn't as great as the first one I do think it got back to the "dark and dreary" Freddy and moved away from the comedy-theme the series had started to drift to. This movie actually had some suspense to it and Freddy wasn't cracking jokes left and right.
I gave it a 4 out of 5.

4/5. Original concept, Scabboy's right, it rekindled the pretty much dead-in-the-water franchise that was ANOES. However, I think I stand alone when I say I disliked the kid, oh God, how I hated him.

I have mixed feelings about this one,,it ws an ok film. But not as good as the previous films... The whole Freddy coming into the real world and out from the movies turned me off. But Miss heather is soooooo hot in this film,,plus I'm a major Nancy fan(hated the fact that she died in nightmare3) so i watch this movie just to see heather again on screen. i love her. lol
