Wow Saw V must have been a real stinker of a film. I can't believe no one has said anything about it.

Saw 5 was a huge let down for me.I really hope they decide to end it with part 6.

I'm not really surprised. It really seemed to lose it's spark when they killed Jigsaw off. Flashbacks get tired pretty quickly. It's pretty sad. The series was pretty special once.

Exactly Kyle,Saw V was basically one huge flashback. They made a huge mistake killing off John IMO.I really think they should end this franchise next year before things get worse.
Saw is a great franchise,i just hope capitalism doesn't destroy it.

It's simply Hollywood greed. When the original makers of the series left that was a real sign it was the right time to end it. It should have ended at Part 3.

I agree all Saw V did was summarize the previous films. Put it this way my mom has never seen a Saw until I took her to see V last week and with very little help from me she was able to know the whole story. A sequel should add to the story and not just review it, they might as well have called it a remake. Also what was with the ending could it have been more disappointing.

With Saw VI basically confirmed, hopefully they'll do a good job with it and end the series on a high note. As much as I like the Saw series, I have to admit Saw V just wasn't as good as the rest, and constant flashback moments. With Kramer dead I guess they have to have them constantly.

Hopefully they won't try to rely on the past films to prop up any additional movies. With the original Jigsaw dead they have an opportunity to start somewhat fresh. They need to stay away fron what they did in V with all the Jigsaw flashbacks, it'll be like beating a dead horse if they try it again.

As long as V explains all the plot holes of IV, I will be happy with it. Brandi is going to see it today and she despised IV but hopefully she will come home and tel me V was what I wanted it to be. I can deal with the flashbacks as long as they fill up previous plot holes and head scratchers.
For me the best parts of part IV were the flashbacks to Jigsaws life so I may enjoy this more.

I know what you mean, It was so obvious from the beginning what was going to happen at the end that I kept waiting for it to turn out to be a gotcha with the complete opposite coming true at the end, but unfortunately with this one what you see is what you get, and that just makes the whole thing very dissappointing to me. Especially since this series is known for being surprising in its plot twists.

It didn't amtter to me there was no plot twist at the end, it was cool anyway. Much better than 4 and better than 2 IMO. I think the order goes like this. 1 3 5 2 4
I really enjoyed 5, the traps were very good and there were a few interesting sub plots going on at once which made it interesting throughout. Decent gore and good storyline and the flashbacks were just the right amount and cool how they explained past movies.
7.5/10

Well their nowhere near Hellraiser, Friday 14th, Nightmare on Elm Street or any of the other great ones like that, but they are pretty good. The best of the Torture genre

What I especially love about them is that all the devices used in the films and how it makes you ask yourself what would you do to survive.

FT13, Hellraiser, and Nightmare are the greatest of horror. Nothing can top them! and BTW, welcome to CLAD! Here is my order: I III IV II V
