I'm going Friday too, it'll be the first time I've ever seen a 3-D movie in the theatre. I just hope its as good as it looks, if its is then it should be a great time to watch.

Let me know how well the 3D glasses fit over prescription glasses. I'm wondering if they have made them large enough for use by everyone.

I saw it this afternoon and it was great, well worth it. I actually got to see a behing the scenes trailer on the new Friday movie before the previews which made it even better. I have to say the kills were great, especially the first mine kill, it was eye-popping, I mean you just can't beat a pick-ax to the head can you, and the 3-D really brought the kills into your lap. They actually spend more time above ground in this version than in the original as well. The only part that's a let down is the fact that if you've seen the original than the mystery is a little lacking unlike in this first.
Kyle, the glasses they had at my theatre fit like sunglasses, they'll be a tight fit over script glasses but that's just where I went I don't know if they're the same all over, since I actually had to pay an extra $2.50 for the 3-D glasses at the box office.
Also, there was a trailer for the remake of The Last House on The Left, I'm not sure how I feel about that one getting a remake.

He was great. I loved his performance in this one, he really balanced the cast of the young actors out.

What kind of 3D glasses do they pass out? They aren't using the old multi colored ones right? You said you had to pay extra. Does that mean you get to keep the glasses?

They had a place where you could recycle them if you wanted but I kept mine since I had to pay extra for them. They're plastic frame ones with clear lenses, and were actually comfortable to wear. They're about the same weight as cheap sunglasses and other than the lenses that's exactly what they looked like, they weren't the cheap paper ones.

Very cool. If it's the same kind used for the upcoming Friday Part 3D DVD release you'll have an extra pair now.

That's the main reason I kept them, I just can't stand the paper ones.

Just got back from seeing it, in 2D sadly My theater is too cheap to have 3D. I thought it was pretty good, although i still prefer the original. Atkins is and all ways will be the Man!!!

Ok i just came back from a late night showing of My bloody Valentine.Turns out my local theater wasn't sold out, so me and my wife decided to go anyway.
The 3d wasn't really that impressive at all.I remember seeing Freddy's dead in 3d when i was a kid. They even had the cheap blue and red glasses and still the theater experience back then was 10 times better than the 3d i saw tonight. The entire movie felt like i was watching scream.Did anybody else feel that way? Just the whole approach to the film felt like a big "scream" movie. Not knowing who the killer is,the whole mystery thing (is it the boyfriend, the cop,Tom Atkins who?). I found myself getting bored after 30 minutes. The gore was pretty good, even though most of it was done with cgi.T&A fans will really get there monies worth with the Blond chick though.(you guys know what i'm talking about..Good lord-I can't express full frontal nudity enough, 15 minutes or so of full female frontal and ass pleasure, with heels man )
Its an ok film, but i wasn't really that impressed by it like i was when i first saw the TCM remake. To me it wasn't necessary to remake this film at all. The original is 15 times better, especially the new uncut release. But the remake is ok,i give it 8/10. I really wanted to rate this some where around 5 or 4 out of 10.But just seeing Tom Atkins act made me finally choose 8.Lets face it guys. Tom Atkins is the man. So yeah 8/10 sounds about right. The 3D sucked ass though,i've seen better when i was a kid. I really don't know what those people in the trailer were talking about? Its not the best Horror movie in years. The 3d certainly did not make me feel like "i was in the movie" at all. I don't know, what do you guys think? Did i miss something? I honestly think the world is coming to an end.I'm starting to lose all hope in new age horror. I'm praying the Friday the 13th remake doesn't let me down.
