^The only downfall - no 3D Then again if you're sticking with 2D its perfect! IMO 3-d makes horror a bit more frightening. Even I jump a bit!

I've never had 3D scare me. But there are so few movies who do 3D well.

I just wanna see the 15min nude scene... and unless those glasses make her nipples tickle my nose, I don't give a shit about missing 3-D

I'm surprised you guys aren't more interested in the 3d aspect of the film.
I think it's the best selling point.
There is nothing "shitty" about the 3D in this film. In fact - quite the opposite. Technology has come a long way - and the 3D movies of today are unlike anything that the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's had to offer.
I've said this before - but 3D is all about "depth of field". It's NOT just about what pops or flies out at you. That's only a small portion of what it is.
This film utilizes all the latest 3D technology and I would encourage anyone who is able too - to see it in 3D FIRST!
3D is fuc**ng awesome and is a great tool for the horror genre. You can really feel like your are right there - along for the ride, along for the kills, and along for the chase.
And if you can't....maybe the real issue is more of personal problem than the professional and technical aspects of the film itself.
Some people just cant suspend their belief fully enough to truly immerse themself within a 3D movie - or to embrace the fantastic technology that todays filmakers have at their disposal.
I don't think this movie would be nearly as fun and entertaining in 2D - especially if you haven't seen the 3D version already.
Hell - I wish ALL movies were made in 3D.
ESPECIALLY the new F13!!

I'm not against 3D. I haven't seen any of the recent 3D films. I'd hope they are better than back in the day. It'd be pretty sad if they were still so limited.

I agree Boggy! I was just stating how I'm not willing to pay $15 to watch a movie just because it's in 3-D. Of course I'd love too! If it were free. My real point was I just can't wait to find an online copy of it so I can hurry up and see it even though it will be 2-D

Glad you enjoyed the 3d Boggy. I just feel for the price, they could have included more scenes in 3d instead of only 2 or 3 scenes. The eye scene in 3d was cool, thats all i saw.

I barely saw any scenes that were obviously 3D. I saw it in 2D but when watching most 3D movies in 2D you can tell what scenes were meant for 3D. I find those obvious shot a little annoying. It seems like more of a "Hey look it's 3D!" trick that takes you out of the film. I saw parts that looked like they might have more depth in 3D so want to see it in 3D eventually. Even in 2D with bad camera work (by the person filming in the theater) it was pretty enjoyable.

When you watch a 3D movie - the intent is for it to look (and for you to feel) like you are really there.
The intent isnt to just have things pop out at you.
The whole movie is 3 Dimensional because when you have the glasses on - their are seperate images in the foreground and the background. And with the glasses on- your eyes & brain make that distinction.
So...when viewing a 3D film - the goal is for you to feel like you are standing right there - watching all the action take place as though you are present while it is happening.
Your the silent witness..... the peeping Tom. That's 3D.
Having a pick axe come at you or a blood splatter leap off the screen is just an added bonus of 3D technology.
However - it is not the definition of a 3D film in and of itself.
I think that is where the confusion lies with most people.

Brandi is seeing it again tonight for the second time. She's the biggest fan of the original I know and she enjoys this as well. The only problem she had was that she guessed the killer very easily, but that's really nothing new for us. Hopefully I will get my turn this week. It's my last week of graveyard shift so I will have afternoons open. I love 3-D. I have a new theater right down the street from me that's showing it. It might be in IMAX as well. I will let you all know after I see it.

In 3D AND IMAX! That ought to be an amazing viewing experience. Lucky!
BTW my favorite line was of course said by Atkins. "Happy fucking Valentines Day." #clap#

I liked it quite a bit, even though I hate CGI. The 3D was pretty impressive, and Tom Atkins was the man. I'll still take the original though, as it's one of my favorite slasher flicks. I'm going to be ordering the Special Edition from Amazon soon.

I had to watch it online. The kills and fighting were hard to see but I really enjoyed it. Personally I tend to like movies more when I already know the actors/ actresses who are involved. I loved that 3d effect when the explosion goes off and he flies threw the screen. I've been a fan of Jensen Ackles and Kerr Smith for a long time and they didn't disappoint. I don't get what the big deal is with the naked chick her boobies were small. ;D

It was pretty sweet I thought. One of the best remakes yet. I also don't like CGI but it wasn't bad. The 3-D was excellent, I can't imagine seeing it in 2D unless they shot different versions, there was so many things that were put right at the screen for 3D viewing, I don't know how it would look. Anyway, no comedy, good gore, good suspense, tributes to the original. All quality stuff. 8/10
BTW- The girl had a pretty face and hair and a nice body all around and she was doing the nasty, so I could see how people would be into that.

Wow, did I just watch the same movies as you guys?
I thought it was really boring. The kills were so typical. The plot was so typical. All I could think while watching this is it's the same old shit over and over with different characters. I also said I hope to God F13th remake is nothing like this.
I think it was better then the Halloween remake I guess. It was not better then TCM or HOW. I just couldn't get into it. The cop with the stash just reminded me of David Arquet from Scream. Tom was a poor man's Freddy Prinze Jr. The naked girl was ok but her tits sucked.
I rate this a 3 out of 10
The low rating is mostly due to no originality. I know most of you do not agree obviously and that's fine. I'm sorry to bash a movie you all like so much. I just really have nothing nice to say about it. A complete waste of time.

Technically.. you didn't. I saw it drunk and stoned, in IMAX and 3D, with an audience of screaming girls
The whole flavor of the movie is lost on a bootlegged copy watched on a PC.....
I liked her titties. Giant boobs are highly overated. My wifes a double D and I am over them!...lol
