Halloween is and will most likely always be my favorite movie of all time. It has all the ingredients that I feel elevates a horror film from good status to that worthy of being called a masterpiece. The gap between Halloween and my number 2 favorite, the original TCM, is very large. Perfect in every sense of the word. It has the best score, revolutionary camera work, a believable setting, great characters, and is rich in suspense and mystery. It holds true and makes tremendous use of the less is more approach.

Does anyone else get a weird feeling when they watch this? Every time when it gets to the part where laurie leaves the key at the myers place i get that excited feeling in my stomach. I dont get that way with any other movie. Thats why i like halloween so much.

I definitely understand what you're feeling Colt45, I'm pretty much like that during the whole film. This film is beyond perfect.

Same here,i got the same feeling when kyle posted that amazing music tribute to horror video in the youtube section.Halloween is an amazing movie.
Just like the first Friday, nightmare,Hellraiser, childs play, candyman, sleepaway camp, burning and countless others are to me.
Its a great feeling, same feeling i'll have when the lights go out and the Friday remake starts in the movie house.

I get that feeling in the first Friday the 13th when Jack and Marcie are down by the lake and the lightning and thunder starts.

Oh yeah classic stuff.Especially when Jack says "it's gonna storm. It's gonna tear down that valley like a son of a gun."

I'm kind of getting the chills just thinking about it. Not only the line you just said, but that look he has in his eyes kind of seals the deal. When that storm starts, that movie gets kicked into another gear.

I have this copy of Halloween on DVD recorded straight from TV. AMC had a special called AMC DVD TV and it was in widescreen. It was also called the enhanced version. Because below the picture it had popups throughout the movie. It gave all kinds of info! Things weve never seen on docs or anything. I know that not too many people like to buy things but Id ship whoever wants a copy of this DVD for the cost of the DVD and shipping.
I cant do it quickly but I might be able to get it to you before November. PM Kyle if youre interested.

On another topic, what do you think happened in this scene?
Laurie was looking at him and suddenly he's gone. Do you think he just walked away like he did in the bush scene while the camera was on Laurie? Or was he an illusion of her mind at that point since she already saw him 3 times earlier that day?

becuase if you remeber a scene prior she saw Michael behind the bush but there was a gate near it he coulve used to run away. so maybe she thought she was being stalked by him

perhaps it was her eyes playing trciks on her. Well thank God we got to see the illusions of her mind because it was so subtle yet amazing at the same time and we got to see another great bit.
