Yes, I really want the score. Tyler Bates did a fantastic job. I liked how he used most of the original music. However, the person who said that it was alright to use Love Hurts needs to be slowly tortured.

I found that scene more funny than sad. Which is what Zombie was going for.

That's exactly what that scene was for. It just didn't work. I don't hate the movie BTW. I actually enjoyed the Workprint somewhat. It's better and more watchable than part 5 or 8. But that doesn't mean I wont point out it's faults either. Even if you like the movie a lot you'd have to be pretty naive not to see the movie had plenty of those. LOL

I enjoy 5 more than the remake, but I'll agree that RZ's is much better than Resurrection.

I rank the Halloweens in this order besides the first 2 this one is my 3rd favorite. I think it gets bashed alot because people think the original is great and should be left as is. I like remakes because they give you a different story and the same character without it having a bad sequel feel. I was worried about the Halloween francise after seeing halloween resurrected. But i think Rob Zombie made Michael scary again. But there are some remakes that i think should have been left alone. Like the Omen remake. That to me was such a let down because it was almost exactly like the original. Also the fog was terrible. Remakes like those have a right to be bashed. But i think good remakes should be given some credit i am sure it probably took a lot of work to make it somewhat watchable and decent since there are so many fans of the originals.

There are now hordes of teenagers who think that the original is boring because it didn't have any gore in it.

There are now hordes of teenagers who think that the original is boring because it didn't have any gore in it. I totally agree with you that teens nowadays are more into gore and action than the actual characters and plot. That's the problem with many of the good horror movies that come to the theaters and flop. Some movies don't need gore to make it great but people don't realize that now. Sad
I think RZ'S Halloween is better than any of the other sequels after 2. I love Halloween 3 but i consider it it's own movie because there was no Michael character and the story revolved around killing mass children. Halloween 4 was great the first 20 mins but having the lead a child did not make the movie for me. Halloween 5 also had the same effect only all of a sudden Jamie had "visions" and took up alot of the screen time yelling. The only thing i really like about 5 was that Michael's mask was better than the previous one.
i loved the gore in 6 but the story and the Thorn killed it totally for me. It had a Scream feel to it and the fact that Michael fathers a child i thought is totally ridiculous.
I like h20 but again it had a Scream feel to it.
Rz's Halloween had a dimension look to it but that's where it ended on being trendy. The first 30 mins were mind blowing. I don't think anyone could have done a Halloween remake better. The only problem i had with that film was the long chase scene. It was incredible what happen with Loomis and i think those who are not a fan of the theater version should see the director's cut. Now if RZ only remade the TCM remake that's a movie i think he would do perfectly with.

The prequel part is the best half, but it suffers from needless vulgarity and too much Sheri.
Was everything Ronnie White said really necessary?
The movie just didn't have the Halloween feel to me, even in the remake portion.

"I'm Joe Grizzly B*tch" The vulgarity i think is RZ's way of making the film his own. All 3 of his films have been very vulgar.

Zombie should direct a film, but not write it.
The Joe Grizzley scene was disgusting.
He could have made it his own without turning it into white trash.

It's funny because i hated House of 1000 corpses when i first saw it because i thought it was a TCM ripoff. But now i love it and i love the devil's rejects and i like Halloween alot. I can really appreciate that Michael is once again scary and the franchise did not end with a terrible movie like resurrection. Yes it was vulgar yes there was nudity but i am just thankful it was not a piece of crap like some of the other remakes.I just think how bad it could have been if some other director (like Uwe Boll) got ahold of it. Or even the directors from Resurrection. Lots of movies are overly vulgar these days and alot of people in this world have potty mouths. Look at Hostel and Terror Planet lots of swearing. (even the babysitters swore). Going into a RZ film i expected that. But i think Halloween(theater version) is a lot more toned down then The Devil's Rejects.
