O.K. I'll ask. Does he still kill Danny Trejo's character? Does it still end with the stupid way that the Theatrical did? If so then I'm not interested in watching it.

I think you will like it Armin. if you dont, just put it up on ebay or something. the ending is the same and Trejo dies, and im glad he does.

A lot of people who were excited for this new director's cut are not feeling that way with a certain scene put back in the movie.
This is an exercise in pure greed by the studio in terms of the way the DVD's have been released.
Would it have been that hard to have both cuts on one DVD?

Well I'm not missing anything by skipping it then. It sounds like they went with it being closer to the shitty theatrical version.

I read that they rushed the DVD window so much (less then four months from opening to DVD) that Zombie didn't get time to complete his "30 Days In Hell" type documentary, so look for that release in the future.

A studio double and triple dipping? That's new. The fact they are doing it with this pile of shit makes it even sadder.

DVD is where the real business is these days.
Even a few years ago, theatrical runs were longer.

Bought it last night and am watching tonight. I don't understand how Trejo dies AND they do the rape scene escape? I am on the fence because I like the theatrical escape and ending better than the workprint. I might have to end up getting both if that's the case. I really hated the workprint ending and totally loved the theatrical ending so I guess I'll have to watch tonight and find out.

The WP made myers a softie. if you watch the deleted scenes, there is a 3rd escape.

As lot of people are getting both cuts, and the reaction to the D-cut is very mixed.

Just saw the D-cut. I still feel the same way i felt before about this movie. Its a poor remake, could have been much better IMO.
But i already said this, no need to say it again.. The only thing worth while IMO from this disc is GIF images. Thats it.
Go see Hatchet

The bully beating is a really good scene, one of the few in the movie.

We watched it last night and were very pleases. One small change bothered me but not as much as I thought it would. Bottom line to me is I really like the spookiness of Michael stalking in the daytime scenes and the brutality and atmosphere. I also like how music was left out of certain scenes where other slahers would have added it. I think the absense of music makes it even scarier sometimes. Kinda like I hate jump scares that rely on music to make you jump. I don't like being told when to be scared. Anyway to me this is great because it's a straight up slasher and we dont see them like that anymore. In the first 20 minutes we see a beating to death, a throat slit, a great blugeoning by a bat and a brutal stabbing. Dig it! The ending was great and I am so glad he left it. Have a few small problems with victims surviving for too long but I can pretty much pick apart any slasher if I wanted to.
I agree to go see Hatchet as well. That was a great slasher also.

In other news, the remake was not nominated for any Scream awards.
