The originals are better. My 3rd fave horror film alongside Halloween & Friday The 13th.

In my opinion this is one of the scariest movies ever. I saw it when I was 10 and it scared me to death. I watched it a few months ago and I still think it is more scary than any F13 of TCM movies.

I had similar experience with NOES and TCM when I was about that age. I think that is why I love them to this day.

A five from me... First ever Horror film that really freaked me out.. The cool thing about this movie is that it doesnt matter how many times i watch it. It still has scenes that creep me out... Awesome flick.

NOES #1 is the second best horror flick of the 1980's, just barely trailing Friday Pt. 2, IMO. Great concept, great atmosphere in the movie and excellent storyline. It is a horrow masterpiece and gets a 5 from me. It's just a shame the series took a big downhill turn after this.

A 5, an original idea that played out well. Good acting, plot was pretty good. Suspenseful, and most of all, scary.

I give it a 5. This is the only film where Freddy is both believable and scary. I have no use for the others; it felt like New LIne was tyring to kill Freddy by having him beome a stand-up comedian.
