It is a nice solid sequel, but I also resent how it undid the magic of the original. I'm just not jumped up on the sister angle. I usually watch this series in two ways. The first way is simply watching the original and pretending it is 1978, no explanations. And then when I move on to II, I accept the sister angle for the rest of the series.
One thing that has always bothered me about the Halloween series is that after the original, it tried to hard to be like Friday the 13th. I mean, you have Halloween influencing F13, and all of a sudden, with Part 2, it gets gored up and is all about trying to be creative with the kills.
When some people say that they view 1 and 2 as one film, and watch them back and back always...I don't really get it. They are completely different in appearance and style.
I always loved the opening with Pleasence. The remix of the main theme is fantastic. Like I said, this is a solid flick and I'll love it forever, just because it is a childhood favorite. Reminds me of a time back when I was 12 probably, when my friend and I had a paper route. We watched the first two in the afternoon and then left to go collect from the customers...it was creepy as hell walking around when the sun was beginning to set, going up to all those houses....
Anyway, solid flick with some faults. 8/10

I just like how it picks right up, the first 15 minutes or so are very good. The hospital and sister angle bores me though. Great start, great finish, Loomis as usual carries the rest of the film making it enjoyable.

I noticed IMDB screwed up Michael's age between H1 and H2.

I know... they put age 23 or something right? haha Probably had something to do with how many years thje movie came out after part 1. The guys making the credits didnt realize it took lace on the same night lol Ya know I know I hate the "she's his sister" bullshit, but Halloween 2 really is a nice cozy little movie. I do wish Dick Warlock never heard the word Halloween and I think that little scalpel he walked around with was odd. But it is a great movie. Much better then some of the other sequals...

It isn't a bad sequel. It's in the top 3 sequels the franchise had IMHO. I just think like Friday Part 3 it's vastly over rated. As for Warlock. He was horrible. Part 2 would have been MUCH better if Castle was playing Michael again.

I agree with that...Halloween 2 could have been so much better without Dick. But whats done is done,i accept it for what it is.

I liked warlocks performance. But, i agree, i dont think it was the best. Halloween 2 is still my favorite in the series. With H1 not far behind and so on.
