Im okay with buying the same movie over and over as long as the format is upgraded. VHS to DVD is a no brainer. However Im not sure Im ever going to go BluRay until THOSE DVDs are $14 and the players are $300.I really enjoyed the Halloween 2 soundtrack. I bought it YEARS ago! I actually used that soundtrack for my Halloween Fan Film (which can be seen in my avatar and banner now) because I didnt have the Part 2 soundtrack at the time. Great CD!

Man I wish I can go back in time and force Nick Castle to play Michael again and to have creative input in this movie. It woulda truly felt like the same night if I had. I even woulda reused the same exact soundtrack from Part 1 and made it work. Just as the Part 2 music for the way it was made did work for Part 2.
Eidted: I just watched Part 2 again and there's no way Loomis could have survived that explosion ;D

Yeah I just noticed. You'll be the first person with 400 campers killed. And you're right Castle was amazing. He may have only been a "stunt man" but at least he could walk without looking like a robot with a stick up his butt. ;D No one has been a better Michael.

Agreed 100%. Nick did a great job with the character.
Thats why Halloween is a great horror film(Perfect in my eyes)

I agree it was the best sequel they ever made in this francise. I don't consider Part 3 as a sequel because in my opinion its more than capable of standing on its own.

Halloween 3 would've probably done better with the mainstream audience if they had called it something else. I for one am glad to have it as a part of the Halloween family though.

I still really like this movie, but not as much as the original.

Funny how everyone is against the idea of another hospital Part 2 for the remake. I guess everyone liked it once... but once is enough ;D

They can't use the hospital as a main setting anyways without making financial and legal deals, as Di Laurentiis owns the main film rights and Dimension and Trancas are making the movies now.

H2 i've always had mixed feelings on.
I love this film to death because it's a Halloween film, and it's written by John Carpenter, but i found it boring at times. It's very true that it's a sequel so it's not supposed to be GREAT, it's just supposed to continue the story in new ways. This one is my favorite sequel, but for me it's just there. There was too much gore for a Halloween film, and i know it's not the goriest film in the franchise*HALLOWEEN 5 and RZ'S HALLOWEEN* but the original relied on nothing but suspense and mood.
That's input on Halloween 2. I'd give it a 3.
